Zero When Dog Howls at The Moon

Dogs have been considered “man’s best friend” for thousands of years. An old superstition says that when dogs howl near a door it is a sign of a major calamity, possibly even a death. It is a sure sign of death if a dog howls at the Moon. If a dog whines when a baby is being born, the child will ultimately become a criminal. People believed that dogs possessed special supernatural powers that enabled them to see, or at least sense, ghosts. This enabled them to know when the household was in danger. Dogs are also credited with being able to sense people’s characters instantly, and will growl and back away from anyone they don’t trust.

It is good luck to be followed by a yellow or golden colored dog. It is also good luck for a strange dog to follow you home.

Seven years bad luck is promised to anyone who deliberately kills a dog. The only exception to this is a veterinarian who is putting the dog down to prevent the animal from further suffering.
