World Animal Day 2009

I received an invitation tonight from the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) about a launch party for WORLD ANIMAL DAY. I was beyond excited when I read the invitation! Unfortunately, I have other important plans to attend to on that day. So, if you’re in the Philippines and you’re an animal lover, you better not miss this important event. I know I’ll be sorry for missing this.

The event will held at the Eastwood Mall Atrium on September 26th at 6pm and will be hosted by celebrity animal advocate Pia Guanio.

The part I’m excited about is the unveiling of the WORLD ANIMAL DAY MEMORIAL WALL- a collage made out of hundreds of photos sent in by pet owners. So, if you have a cat, a dog, or even a chameleon, this is the time to show off your wonderful pets! Or, you could just walk around the Eastwood Mall with your pet and have his/her (your pet’s) picture at the red carpet area around 5pm to 8pm for FREE!

There are also participating groups like: Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF), Compassion and Responsibility for Animals (CARA), Earth Island Institute Philippines (EII-Phils), feathered Friends Foundation (FFF), Network for Animals (NFA), Palawan Animal Welfare Association (PAWA), People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF-Philippines).

So, animal lovers, animal activists, zoologists or whatever you want to call yourself, don’t miss this fun filled event with your animal friends. It’s going to be a great one!
