Why Cats are Better Pets Than Dogs

Lists of reasons why cats are the better choice over a dog for your household pet.

The following lists are reasons why cats are the better choice in selecting a pet compared to dogs:

  1. No crap to constantly pickup.  Only changing the litter.
  2. Food is cheaper for cats than compared to dogs.
  3. Cats will not get on your nerves since they sleep all of the time.
  4. You will not have a mice problem and most likely not an insect problem either.
  5. Cats do not slobber and leave drool puddles around.
  6. Cats constantly clean themselves while dogs have to be bathed every now and then.
  7. You do not have to walk your cat.
  8. Cats are very light in weight compared to dogs.
  9. Cats meows are quieter than a dogs bark usually.
  10. A cat’s purring is a very soothing sound.
  11. A cat’s bite or scratch are generally superficial compared to a dogs bite.
  12. There is no such thing as an attack cat.
  13. Very very few cats will go into the water so having a wet cat does not happen.
  14. Dogs have a very distinct odor compared to cats.
  15. Cats are way better looking than almost all dogs.
  16. Dogs have very bad breath compared to cats.
  17. Generally cats will not beg for food that you are eating.
  18. Very few people are afraid of cats while there are some people afraid of dogs.
  19. Cats generally do not have to go to the Vet’s office as often as dogs.
  20. You do not have to leash your cat.

So, there you have it.  20 reasons why cats are the better choice in searching for a pet.  Sorry, all of you dog lovers out there.

  1. Your reasons are very true. I’ve had cats and dogs as pets all of my life and I have to agree with you. I love cats and dogs. Currently, I have a dog as a pet. I must say that dogs will try to protect you and alert you of intruders.

  2. Biased much?

    Dogs won’t use your expensive furniture as a scratching post.
    Dogs will do tricks while cats will look at you like you’re on drugs.
