Training a Puppy

This is where you will need to understand and help your dog most of all. Start off the correct way by scattering newspaper at certain corners of the floor, away from his feeding-dish. After each meal and after each nap take him to the paper.

When he sprinkles in the wrong place take him at once to the paper and make him comprehend that he has made an error. If you do not demonstrate him at once, he will not know what his fault was. Pet him when he uses the paper. Discipline him when he doesn’t. But never punch him.

He is learning. He is trying to find out what it is you want him to do, and that takes a modest time.
