The Spanish Gypsy Horse That Behaves Like a Dog

A horse that behaves like a dog.

Fido stars as Chon's horse that acts like a dog

In Spain, A gypsy community living in Southern Spain has an amazing Horse that believes it is actually a dog. It is not clear whether this Horse lived and socialized with dogs, but the truth is that it does all that a dog does by way behavior.

For instance, this amazing Horse has already been on record to have attacked passersby with physical bites. Folks who pass by this gypsy community watch their steps very carefully because any lack of caution could earn you a horse bite.

Secondly, this horse also barks just like a dog. This is unbelievable but the horse barks, wags its tail when the master shows up and several times it has been found resting on its master’s bed. It is well loved by its owner and that explains why the horse can indeed walk over and sleep the master’s bed. When it comes to feeding, this horse predominantly feeds on dog foods and only eats grass occasionally.

Because homeless gypsies live in open grounds or make shift structures, the Horse has enjoyed the luxury of space in this community.

  9. Amazing story. I wonder what makes him behave like this.

  10. cool

  11. Very unique. Dog must like it.

  12. Very strange behaviors by a dog. I believe the horse might just be mimicking dogs behaviors or antics. Fun read, friend.

  13. Enjoyable read.

  14. The best reason I would think of is that the owner would have trained him to act as a pet dog! But since he barks (or sounds so) and tries to behave like dog, should be some canine genetic contamination in horse’s gene pool!

  15. Oh at first I was confused because I thought you were writing about the Gypsy Vanner horses, which is a breed, but I see you are talking about a specific horse. Odd behavior, the dog food cannot be good for it.
