The Beagle and The Right Diet
The pet owners must be aware that there are quite a few dog health problems for the beagle.
Getting the right kind of diet for a Beagle can go a really long way in ensuring a good health for a Beagle. One very common issue in these dogs is that of obesity. The beagle has short, stout legs to support a relatively bigger body. As with all other dogs of this nature, like the Dachshund or the Basset Hound, obesity is among major health concerns for Beagle dogs.

Obesity in turn attracts other severe conditions in the Beagle which includes Dysplasia, arthritis and even cardiac troubles that are directly related to obesity.

The short legs of the Beagle are all the more reason why they are so prone to arthritis and other degenerative bone diseases. This entire array of problems can be averted just by maintaining a healthy and balanced diet. One thing that becomes a problem for many Beagles is excessive rewarding with treats and delicacies.

This needs to consciously be avoided; otherwise the little-legged devils seem to gulp down anything it gets. The Beagle is vulnerable to bone problems anyway, so it is wise to keep track of it from its puppy days under the care and supervision of a veterinarian practitioner.
