Tallest Dog in The World

George is the tallest dog in the world.

This dog is not only the size of a reindeer, it weighs an equivalent of eleven smaller dogs of a popular breed, has a book published about living with him and sleeps not in a dog house but on his own queen size mattress.

Description of this Great Dane in detail does not dojustice.  It has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records in 2012 and likely to hold that post for years to come.  George, as the dog is more commonly known by has a large deep bark, but an extremely soft demeanor  Watching this dog in action around thebaby that lives in the house with him and his owners a husband and wife that adopted him as a baby, one can imagine George would help a fly lift off if it couldmanage to take it’s huge paw and gently brush it onto its way.

A Great Dane, also known as German Mastiff or Danish Hound is already one of the tallest dogs in the world.  It was bred originally to hunt deer before becoming a pet lovers idol.  George, the tallest Great Dane in the world currently has won various awards.

George, the grand Great Dane,  eats over a hundred pounds of food a month and his diet sometimes includes in a mixture of potatoes and other foods, a 1/4 roast chicken for a healthy meal.  The dog weighs 245 lbs which is the weight of some major league players in football, baseball, hockey and basketball.  George is a sight to behold and below, you can see George for yourself with even more incredible detail on life living with George.

  1. I’m so glad there are no images of this LOL. Great share. You write interesting articles. My father had me order this book before he passed called something like “Very Special People” This was in 1976. The book scared and fascinated me at the same time. When he passed, I could not find the book. I think one of my brothers quietly kept it in the family. I was kind of happy, I didn’t have to look at it! Great share.
