Pets Need Fresh Water Every Day
Pet owners need to be responsible in providing the needs of their pets. By Simonne Liberty.
I was in the middle of washing my dishes, when I received a call that my grand daughter had been rushed to the hospital with a serious asthma attack, and a clasped lung. I dropped everything, got my dog and a few items of clothes to go help my daughter with the other kids so she could be at the hospital with her child.
A few days later, I returned home to a terrible odor. Going to the kitchen, I realized that I had left my dishes in the dirty water, and the water had gotten stagnant in that short time. This turned my attention to how important it is for pet owners to be sure to give their pets clean and fresh water EVERY DAY. I get so upset when I see stagnant water in the bowls of pets tied up in yards. Just because there is still water in the bowl, does not mean it is drinkable. How would the owners like to drink stagnant water?
Also, pet owners who do keep their dogs and cats etc. outside, need to be sure they have plenty of water EVERY DAY in the summer months. I see also how some bowls are turned over and the owners don’t bother to fill them up again. This is animal neglect. People who can not at least do this much for their pets, don’t deserve them in the first place.
