How to Train Your Doggy Sit

Learn Few Tips To Teach Your Doggy How to Sit.

I heard many of my friend keep on complained how hard and difficult is it to train up their dogs/puppies, as they not willing to obey your comment, or you can said that doggy do not understand what are you talking about. This is a communication skill between animal and human that need to work it out.

The word “sit” actually is very simple and easy to work out. The dog must out his bottom on the ground and keep his front legs straight, is that simple. This kind of sit position is the easiest among dog training, by the way dogs do it very naturally, in fact they do it all the time by their own.

One thing that you need to understand is that you will not really be teaching you dog how to sit but rather train them to understand what you want them to do when you say the word “sit”. Once you able to train them to understand the move and behaviors, you able to control their activities, which ask them to sit on one spot so your dog less likely to move around and get excited.

How you actually can train them to “sit”?

1. Firstly, you need to prepare small piece of your dog’s favorite treat.

2. Then, you need to stand facing your dog. Hold the treat of your dog’s nose, becareful do not let them eat it, move the treat up toward of his head that make them barely reach it. Control dog’s body sitting position by adjusting down and toward the treat.

3. If your dog lifts his front feet off the ground, you are holding the treat too high. When your dog lifts his head and shoulder to get the treat, his bottom should go down. Gently touch your dog’s back and give them signal that you want him to sit this position.Remember do not push too hard on his back and force them

4. As soon as your dog is in the sit position, praise him by saying “Sit. Good boy, sit.” Give him a treat if you like.

You need to keep on practise above step several times, until your dog able to understand and sit while you give the command “sit” or “sit boy”.Feel free to visit Basic Puppies Obedience Training Commands for more detail on how to train your dog and puppies.
