Do you really want a dog badly? Well, sometimes you might feel discouraged if your parents say no. Well, here are some steps you can take to convince your parents to get you a dog.
Do you really want a dog badly? Well, sometimes you might feel discouraged if your parents say no. Well, here are some steps you can take to convince your parents to get you a dog.
- Do some research on dogs and tell your parents what breed of dog you would like to have
- Try to interest your parents by telling them certain facts about the dog
- Ask them to tell you a story about their first dog. You will become more interested and also your parents will remember the happy moments with their dog.
- If they say it is too much work to handle a dog just tell them that you are willing to do anything to get a dog
- Don’t make your parents angry by repeating yourself and only tell them new facts about your choice of dog
- Help your parents around the house and make them realize that you are very responsible and will take care of a dog no problem
- Hope that everything works fine and get your dog
Sometimes your parents will just not agree but don’t worry if you can’t get a dog now sooner or later you will be able to get one without your parent’s permission.

my friend made a powerpoint presentation and two weeks later her dad surprised her with a “trip” to the humane society. so jealous of her new puppy! now im trying it on my parents.

ive always whanted a dog but my dad says we havent got time for one cause were always working and your at school and it will be in the house all by itself and it will poo all over the house and stuff like that i always say to him that i will take for a work after school i will feed it give it give it water but it is not working ive tried the advice were it says intresset him do reasearch but i think i need a little more advice please please please please please help me ive always whanted a dog all my life and i mean all my life =( I REALLY WHANT A DOG PLEASE HELP.!!

First of all anyone reading this should never be discouraged I had a dog when i was younger and did not come close to being responsible and in the process lost my parents trust. I’m taking another swing at it now p.s. all of you people who have 2 dogs already don’t need another it just shows you want a dog for the wrong reasons.

I WILL TELL YOU HOW TO GET A DOG!!!!!!!!
okay so i have been to a lot of these how to get a dog websites and none of them work but i have a way that really will!
my parents are really strict and they hate dogs my dad is a cat person and my mom thinks animals are gross but i still found a way to get one!!!! but before i tell you how you have to understand even though ur parents might seem mean they relally do care about you and want you to be happy!!
STEP 1. If you have been asking for a dog for a while stop asking for like 3 months (might seem like a while but its worth it!!!!!) and in those 3 months help around the house and clean your roomand do helpful things that you never used to do. this will make your parents think that ur more responsible. (even if ur parents act like they don\’t appreciate it they do but make sure they notice it like say \”do u like how i cleeaned the den?) this will show responsibility and they will love it and be more willing to do things for you since you have done things for them (so make sure your attitude towards them and your family stays sweet until you already have your dog!!!)
STEP 2. no matter how angry you get with your parents or siblings you have to act completely sweet and if they are mad at you for doing something and are yelling at you like crazy just apologize and say \” I\’m sorry thats the old me i have changed and even though actions speak louder than words you will see through my actions I have changed\” because a sweater attitude leads to sweater parents (but after you have your dog u can get them back for everything that pissed you off b4 you had ur dog (u can even keep a list of this stuff while ur acting all nice and then after you have what u want u can like piss on their tooth brush if they were that mean to you while u were nice lol).
STEP 3. when the 3 months are up if you have done step one and two everyday and have been perfect and done all your work and gotten good grades you can ask your parents to bring you to an animal shelter where all the dogs are free there then they might say okay if so read on to step 4 or they might say no then you can say what can i do to earn the dog i will do anything!! (be ready to do anything) then when they told you go out and do it. then after you did it ask them to take you to the shelter they will either take you or put it off if they take you continue to step 4 if they put it off you might have to complete steps 1 and 2 again and then say 3 months later can we go to a free animal shelter and if they say no say but remember i did ***** and you said if i did it i can have a dog and i waited patently so can you please take me im not saying we have to get anything just please take me i just want to look around (but dont whine or constantly beg they HATE that) and keep begging and being pleasant until they agree to take you
STEP 4. if you don\’t mind a dog from a shelter (because there really isn\’t a difference from any other dog as long as you have the right breed keep reading if you want a more expensive dog read on to because this will benefit you too. when you are at the shelter start finding a few dogs that you like then show them to ur parents and have ur parents look at them until they eventually like or are okay with at least 1. then point out all its cute features but if this all fails to make your parents happy tell them how happy a dog will make you and how this can count for ur Christmas/ Hanukkah and birthday present even though its allowed to be shared if they want it to be. then take cute pics of the dog on ur phone and u can either try to leave with a dog if they like it or go home and give them time to think about it. if you want a more expensive dog then have ur parents look at breeders and stuff too but starting off with free is always good because its less overwhelming then ur can work ur way up to $200 then $500 then $800 then $1000 then what ever price
i dont know what to tell u for the rest of the steps cus all parents are different but if u need my help describe ur parents personalities and feelings about dogs and at the end say TAYLOR I NEED UR HELP!!!! in all uppercase like i just did and then i will read all of the 1\’s that have that

ok we have 2 dogs but one is my moms and she got him like 11 years ago and hes probley gonna die soon. sad to say but true! and the other one is my 8 year old sister`s! let me clear this for u, she is my LITTLE sister by 5 years! its a service dog for her so i cant play with it or pet it or whatever. and my other dog is too old and grumpy. i tried all thoughs thinks even the stuff the person above me recomended! but my parents still say NO! i have the money, i have the grades, i have the time, i have the information, i have the responsability!!!!! BUT THEY STILL SAY NO!!!! i want a dog of my own!!!!

Jeez I already have two stupid Shih tzus they are so annoying and dumb…they run into walls and bark… we have a fat one that eats alot… we have a puppy but he is so funnny but annoying and my brother always hogs him. (I hope this gives some of you ideas to get a dog) (And you people who already HAVE a dog, i dont think you need one that bad!!!) ok! i admit it! im a cat person,and we have two cats and a hamster! i also have a dad who is COMPLETELY against getting a dog! i want 1 so bad! ive never had a dog and one of our cats is really old and hamsters dont live long! i at least recently convinced my dad to let me get a hamster to show im responsible! which i am! i havent missed ONE day of cage cleaning, and i spend tons of time with my all my pets!! i even got in a dog walking job to prove ill go walking any weather! id get a small dog, my mom doesnt work so she could take care of the dog while im at school, and id wait till my older cat is gone!!! i even talked to my dad (who had a dog when HE was a kid) about how middle school can be overwhelming and how i want a loyal friend to meet me at the door everyday! HOW CAN I PERSUADE HIM???? HELP!

Both my prnts work as I said b4, but I hav dat kind of settled now. My prnts r sort of falling into the spell. I’m not getting a dog till christmas though. And I might not even get 1, but I’m pretty sur I am. Heres a couple of tips dat I’m sur will wrk.
First: Do chores round da house like all da time. Ya, I know dat’s a basic tip, but u always hav 2 strt with dat first. Be nice, and don’t get into any trouble in skool. Study for tests (you’ll get good grades) do ur homewrk and try 2 get a least 1 teacher 2 like u
Second: B cute! Put pictures of puppies all over ur wall in your room. Then make a list of things you’ll promise with all ur hrt 2 do with the dog. Make a slide show on Powerpoint and show it 2 ur prnts. They’ll b impressed and satisfied. I know it seems like a waste of time, but it’s ctually fun.
Third: I know it’s a bad economy right now, that’s why u shouldn’t get a person 2 take care of ur dog. It’s to much $. Dat’s y u can tell ur prnts dat u can train da dog 2 sleep @ the time u go 2 skool. Or find som1 dat wrks full time and still has a dog. Prove 2 ur prnts dat ur doing research, then they’ll think ur reely responsible. If u get in fights with ur bro/sis, act mature and ignore them. Don’t complain, whine, or throw tantrums, b an angel. But remember, do this till christmas. And don’t stop wen u get a dog. After a while u can act like ur normal self, but wit until u’ve had da dog for a while. Trust me you’ll feel sooooooo good about it in the end. Like “wow that was reely worth it!”

I really would like a dog, i’ve shown how to be responsible by looking after my mums two dogs whenever they are away on holiday, and just in general, i even offer to take them for walks. But the breed that i really want is a Siberian Husky.
My sister has loved cats for the longest time, and actually got two last year in november, that girl is not responsible at all, she hardly does anything around the house, and always moans and whines about everything, i mean, today i was just looking up some images of the breed of dog i wanted and my sister came in and sat down next to me and was all: “Ooooh! they’re so cute! you should definately get one when your older!” Okay, i’m 18, and in my final year of school, i certainly think i’m responsible enough to look after a dog. Anyway, so i told her “Ph i was thinking of asking for one for my birthday.” She kinda of stared at me in a ‘you-freak’ sort of way. Then was all “you do realize how much they cost?” and i answered, very calmly, not shouting at all. “Yep, i know.. i’m willing to pay half for it.” The thing is, i think its just a little unfair that the most irresponsible person in my family gets two pets, that she doesn’t really look after anyway, whereas, i’m not really allowed to get one, well, noone says that i can’t i mean, they just say, if you really want one, do a report on them, so i have, which i’m going to go through with my mum. Anyway, so my sister ran off and i could hear her whispering to my mum about what i just said, shes such a little bitch, i hate her. But i’m willing to do anything to get the dog. I’ve even written a schedule in the report, so yeah =/ Dunno if i’ll get it but hopefully, but if i don’t i will actually buy the dog myself.

I like totally have wanted a dog ever since i knew they existed which means like forever and I have never had a dog in my whole life,and im really responsibil and I get like totally awesome gades so I don’t think it’ fair that they say knoww everytime.All we have had is a few fish and a cat and the cat died a few years ago ( it was really sad) and now we don’t have any pets and my little sis likes to play stuff I dan’t like to play so I get bored all the time and I have know one to hang with. I have always loved dogs and im really good with them. Like one time I convinced my dad to take me to thispet place and there was this totally cute dog that loved me but we didn’t get any dogs. I ask for one ever Christmas and everytime its my b-day but they still say no. TAYLOR I NEED UR HELP!!!
