Guard Dogs and a Few Examples of Some

Ever wondered what a real guard dog was well here it explains two different types of guard dogs.
What is a guard dog? That really isn’t a common question asked even though it should be. The answer to this question can be simple or complicated. The simple answer would be that a guard dog is a dog that guards its owner. Does that not make every dog a guard dog? Because every dog does protect its owner if it is treated nicely by them so every dog must be a guard dog. It is all about recognition.
A guard dog is defined as a dog that guards its owner by attacking. Some examples include Rottweilers, Germen Shepherd, Mustiff, Bulldog and the Pitbull.
A guard dog can also be called a watch dog which is a different type of guard dog. This type of guard dog simply barks really loud and warns its owners that there is an intruder or somebody coming. It only warns, whatever else happens is not its problem. The dog can take action to protect its owner. Some examples include Maltese, Yorkshire terrier, Poodle, Pomeranian, West Highland terrier and some other members of the toy breed.
This is basically what a guard dog can be categorized into, a guard dog or a watch dog. I really don’t think that any dog will stand it if its owner is getting attacked or is in danger. The dog would probably help even if it isn’t thought to be a guard dog.
