A lead can be a very good gift for a dog and beneficial to both you and your dog. Your dog will enjoy the fresh air from a nice walk at Christmas and it is a great way for you to walk off that hefty Christmas dinner!
A new bed is a great gift for a dog or cat because animals need a good nights sleep to and a bed will keep them warm and comfortable!
Rope toys as well as plush toys are great for dogs as they will have hours of fun with them and you can make the toys their good boy toys!
Cats will love any type of toy with catnip in it especially a mouse that is filled with it!
A bag of treats will always do nicely such as rawhide bones and chewing toys for dogs or tuna snacks and toys with bells for cats.
Give Your Animals A Safe And Stress Free Christmas
By following these few simple methods your pet will be a happy pet at Christmas!
Christmas plants such as poinsettias and amaryllis should be kept away from pets as they are very poisonous. Mistletoe berries and yew berries are also dangerous for pets to consume. And let us not forget that chocolate is toxic to dogs!
Pets can also enjoy Christmas lunch from the leftovers, however; don’t overfeed them!
Stick to usual feeding and walking times as a change in routine can upset pets, causing stress.
Provide pets with a room where they can escape from the noise if you have a lot of visitors.

You German Shepherd looks just like the first one I re-homed when I was in my teens, her name was Lucy and I loved her so much. I even named my daughter after her, my daughter thinks this is great, she is a truly devoted animal lover like her Mum.
