Having a person who is interested in watching birds or feeding birds makes shopping for a gift for them easy. If indoor gifts are most appropriate the choice of gifts to please a person who loves birds is still very abundant.
If you have a person on your gift list that enjoys feeding birds, watching birds or simply appreciates the beauty of birds buying a gift for them is easy. There is a wide price range for bird related gifts so it’s up to you and your budget how much you spend.
There is of course the obvious gift of bird feeders which come in all sizes, styles, and price range. Bird seed to fill the feeders is often overlooked as a potential gift item.
Suet feeders and the suet cakes to put in them make good gifts for people who have a place to hang the feeders.
Bird baths make great gifts for people who have a place to put them. When thinking of a bird bath people usually think only of the concrete kind that sit on a stand in the yard. While these are very nice, they can be expensive and not everyone has a place to put one. There are bird baths that can be attached to deck railing. These make good gifts for those who live in town homes or condominiums.
There are bird baths and feeders that can be hung from a small pole in the yard or beside of a porch. Some small bird feeders can even be attached to a window so no yard at all is required to be able to feed the birds. These feeders are good gifts for seniors in assisted living apartments. They are easy to fill and provide hours of pleasurable entertainment.
If outdoor gifts do not seem appropriate there are still bird related gifts you can give. Throw pillows with bird designs make good gifts. Framed prints of birds is another option for an indoor gift. Books containing bird photographs or bird stories can be enjoyed by a bird enthusiast for many years.
Binoculars and a bird identification book make a good gift for a beginning bird watcher.
A few other gift ideas which are relatively inexpensive are a calendar with a bird photo on it, a coffee mug or set of coasters with a bird design, or a notepad or mouse pad with the picture of a bird.
This is just a short list of ideas for gifts to give a bird enthusiast. People appreciate gifts that relate to their personal interest and all of these gifts are the type that a person can enjoy long after the Christmas season has passed.
