One of the interesting features of this pet is that to save itself from risk and danger, it closes one of the eyelids to disguise, however facilitating it to look around. Underside of the leaves is the place where this pet can be found sleeping with its front legs held close so as to conceal the colorful stripes. To cover the bright orange color, it closes the feet underneath the feet.
Its bright color also helps to protect it from the attack since as soon as the predator comes near; the frog opens its eyes and takes its legs out enlightening the bright and vibrant color in a flash. This action alarms the predator and makes him take a pause which gives ample time to the frog to escape for his rescue.

The naturally created mucous generated on the feet help them to have this feature that further forms a suction between the leaves and their feet. It is this aspect that is highly strong in the female frogs which helps her hold one or more male frogs on her back during the mating.
The feed of the frogs mainly comprises of crickets, flies and moths. Just in case it fails to get these insects, the species will not hesitate to feed on other frogs.
