10 Things To Say To Convince Your Parents To Get a Dog
Say these steps to your parents and they will hopefully say yes.
- I will learn to be responsible
- I will clean up after it and teach it tricks, and train it.
- I won’t play video games as much because I will be busy with the dog (your parents will like this one)
- I would stop nagging on you and telling you that I am bored.
- (If it’s your birthday, and you really want a dog say) the only thing I want for my birthday is a dog, no presents no party only a dog.
- (If you have money and you really want a dog say) I will pay for some of the price.
- 7. I will have something to love.
- (Don’t remind them or say I will toilet clean it because, they will remember that it can go to the bathroom in the house, and make a mess)
- (If you really want a dog say) I will do chores in the house without getting an allowance.
- (Final step) sit down on your knees and say, may I please please please get a dog.
After doing these steps, hopefully your parents will agree with you and say okay!

guys stop saying your parents are stupid! They are not stupid! They feed you and care for you and you should not call then stupid! You guys did not get a dog because you did not try hard enough. It does not take you a couple of days to convince your parents. It could even take months! You guys just be patient! I would try: Ask your friend if you can take care of their dog. Your parents will SEE how responsible you are and MIGHT buy you a dog. If this does not work for you then if you are patient then get a dog when you move out. i didnt just do these steps i had to actualy show my parents that I AM WORTH IT! and that THEY CAN TRUST ME.

ah. my parents are definitely not stupid. they are just parents. and parents think to much into things. like 3 days ago i wrote in a notebook and wrote facts about dogs and supplies you need and all that stuff. then at the end i wrote a responsibility paragraph and i told my mom to read it and she did and all she said was “impressive”.

one reason people dont get dogs is that their parents dont think that their responsible, prove to your parent your responsible and you might get 1. Also, tell your parents to have a TRUE FULL conversation with you about why, not a 5word and then stop, prove it to them! tell them benefits and stuff, steps like these i dout will work

not ALL dogs bark. you can get a basenji. they are considered to be a cat in dog’s clothing. it is impossible for them to bark. and dogs are really smart and usually learn fast if you dont treat them like a princess.

I REALLY want a dog! My mom wants one but we just put our cat down. I decided to shut up for a month till we talk about getting another dog. I have 30 dollars and want to help pay for it! Look your parents are probably thinking that you want the cute little puppy most dogs are way less cute as dogs. Even if you want a dog not a puppy you need to pay for it and do the reaserch and get steady income to pay for food and if you live in an apartment the fee for a dog. You need to reasrch the breeds and take a few different quizzes for dog breeds. Pick three dogs you like from the list and take the ones that are commonly rated high. then talk with your parents about it

but she died about three months after we got her. >.<

chihuahuas are my favorite kind of dog.

The reason why a lot of you aren’t getting dogs is that you’re so immature! It’s obvious just by your posts! And, I don’t think half of you realize the time, effort, and money that goes into a dog. On average, a dog will cost you a thousand dollars yearly, if you get one that’s perfectly healthy and perfectly trained. If not, then maybe $2,000 a year. Remember, the adoption fee of a dog isn’t the only thing you have to pay!
Also, you have to spend at least an hour every day (depends on the breed) exercising it in some way, you have to feed it twice a day, clean its water bowl twice a day, take it outside around 5 times a day as an adult housedog… the list goes on. You really have to figure out if you really are as responsible as you think before you start bugging your parents all the time.

this is how i got mine
say that you really want a dog and you will do anything (dont be to pushy,otherwise your chances are about 10%)
after that about a week later or earlier start choosing a dog (small layal dogs r perfect for begginers mines a jack russel terrier)
learn about that breed and test your knowledge
talk to your parents again about what dog they would like to have even if they dont want one
now try and find a dog thats has features of the dog you want and the one your parents want
learn about this breed (still keep in mind the info about your dogs info)
if they say they will keep the thought in mind about letting you have a dog your chances are about a great 55%
now say you will do chores to earn money towards the dog
if they finaly let you congrats but there is still more
you need to show responsibility get good grades and
get along with your brother and sister (tee hee its fun being a lil bro you get to annoy your older brother)
use your money VERY wisely spend it on food water dogshampoo
toys basket/bed cushion
lead collors after about 4 months of showing this once get your dog there is 0.01% of your parents willing to get rid of it oh another thing try and pay the majority of the price to increase your odds to 80%

To convince my mom I’m writing a dog essay with all the basics like feeding grooming exercise etc, and heriditary diseases and a whole lot of stuff. The layout was 9 pages long so there was a lot of info. Do a lot of research, go to animal shelters, and collect money- so far I’ve collected 460 bucks. I even wrote an article on this topic.

I keep asking my parents, and my mom doesnt really mind getting one that much, but my dad used to have a doberman (the kind i want) and he just thinks im silly and me wanting a dog will just wear off, but im seriously SERIOUS! i ant believe he thinks i cant take care of one! :’( to think i would actually let a dog die because of not caring for it! now thats just horrible! i told my mom that i would sell all 33 of my breyer model horses, which are like $40 each! i spent my life savings on them, so if im going to sell all of them, then i must REEEEEEEEEAAAAALLLLLLYYYY want a dog! but…… they still arent convinced D’X if i tell my dad about it, he will be annoyed and become mad at me, and maybe make me cry
i already have a cat and 4 hermit crabs, and i take care of them ENTIRELY by myself! not to mention i have a 3 year old sister who i watch and take care of (including the diapers and even staying with her in bed until she falls asleep an hour later!!) and babies are much for harder to take care of then dogs, because i took care of a stay husky before. im just sooooooooooo disappointed in my parent’s lack of trusting in my responsibility, that im losing trust in THEM because they cant see how much i want a doberman, and what lengths ill go to, to get one! ive done EVERYITHING! but my dad still hates them, and thinks me wanting a dog is a big joke/phase! :’( if i cant have a dog soon, i may become despressed and like my parents less, because they have little trust that i can deal with one

Okay so I have a problem. I really want a dog and I have been wanting one since I was about 6. Now I am 13, and I am tires of being told no. I do not get an allowance, I get the best grades, I am the cleanest person in the house and I still can not get one. oh , well i’m 13 i have two sisters and one little brother i love my parents but they will not let me have a dog either , i do not get allowance i babysit almost everyday never get in trouble and do more cleaning then all my siblings combined .
i found the perfect dog for me though , the perfect price and they are small so eat less food so they need less food so you buy less food and you save money ( cool ) .
oh yeah , and they where born in october so they probably have some of their shots done .
i started dog walking and now i can afford the dog that i want , a tip is that if you start dog walking your parents might think that you are responsible and will be able to take care of your own dog , it did’nt work for me .
oh and you will be able to afford one in no time !

oh that sucks , well i’m 13 and i’ve been wanting a puppy for about a year now my parents probably think i’ve forgotten but i have not , i love dogs and want one to , it can get pretty depressing but you’ll see you will get your doberman soon , don’t loose courage , i still have not ( and its been a year ) .

okay. i totally aced it. my mom finally is CONSIDERING it after like 5 years. i just looked into the CUTEST puppy ever and now i think my mom is going to look into it since we already filled out applications and stuff:) but the best thing you can possibly do is to prove to your parents that you WILL be responsible for the dog. i convinced my mom with my good grades, doing chores around the house and cleaning my room spontaneously without her asking, and constantly reminding her how beneficial a dog is in a family and how it would bring our family “closer”. it totally worked. some of you should try it, if it doesnt work than nothing will so wait until you are 18 that was my original plan!! ( i am 14 at the moment)

Well my mom grew up her whole life with dogs.
I on the otherhand cannot have one, (even though it the only thing ive ever asked for snice i can remember)
because my mother dosent want the responsibility.
When i always tell her i will do it and i will.
she also says we dont have the room, when clearly we do, and who ever said it had to be a large dog.
my mom pisses me off seriously. And i want to move out because i cannot stand the fact she wont give me the one thing ive only really ever wanted. There was never a point in my life where i said i dont want a dog anymore. And it gets me angry. My birthday is in 21 days, and everybirthday i want one thing, and when i blow out the candles i wish for a dog. But i cant get one till i live on my own^o) did i mention im only turning 14.

You guys shouldn’t call your parents stupid! They obviously have a reason for saying no! I have a dog, well actaully its a family dog. I want one for myself though. I already have my own hamster but he’s going to die soon anyways.=( I still dont have my own dog but this is how I convinced my parents to at least consider getting me a dog: For the past 2 1/2 years I have been researching dogs and taking quizes for them on animalplanet.com and other websites like that.(not to get a dog, just to learn about them because I love them) One day we were at Pet’s Choice and I was looking around because I was talking about getting a Tarantula or a hamster or something like that and all I needed was the money.Once we were about to leave I was asking my dad if I could get an animal and I started naming all my choices but he said “no” to all of them and then I started joking around and I brought up a dog! He said “yes” as soon as I can afford to buy it, feed it and all of that other stuff!
I started looking up prices for food and averaging it out for future referances and It turned out that all I need is a 1345 to afford the dog and all the other supplies. I also averaged out the amount of time it was going to take me to be able to get this money with my chores and stuff.( I only get 4 dollars a week plus if I get straight A’s on my report card I get $20) I told my parents that it should take me 2 years and 2 months and they siad that as long as I got a breed that they agreed on, it was ok. If you really want a dog you have to be patient and start with the little things first! Some of you people who are posting are really impatient and I can see why your parents dont get you a dog, just think about your attitude.

If you want a dog thats easy to manage get a standerd poodle,minature poodle or a toy poodle.They’re really cute and they dont loose any hair.So try to convince your parents to get a poolde of some kind, and the poodle I had didnt run away because they grow attached to you and dont get annoying !

Some of you are acting so young and immature. Which makes sense, because that’s what you are. You average about ten years old and demand ‘a beagle’ or ‘a german shepherd’ or whatever. You need to understand firstly, that if your parents are against you getting a dog, one of these dream breeds is probably not ideal. German shepherds are not recommended for young families and you must be willing to take them for like 5k walks every day. Beagles are incredibly difficult to train and dig up just about everything. Also, let them off a lead and in most cases, have fun getting them back in a few hours
Like some people have mentioned, chihuahuas, westie terriers, jack russells (if you are active enough) and various larger dogs like newfoundlands, labs and greyhounds are more first time owner dogs. These dogs are usually sound in temperament and are usually fairly easy to train and aren’t OVERLY active. Of course, they are dogs, they still take a lot of care and over 1000 dollars a year in most cases. So if your parents say no, there may be a lot of valid reasons. Consider this. And yes, I know, it sucks. A lot. Just keep hoping and be realistic about what you want.

doggylover, in answer to the above, you be grateful for the FIVE dogs you already have and when one of your dogs eventually dies, maybe consider getting another. The more you have, the less you can spend on each individual. Love the ones you have, and next time you are looking at dogs in a few years maybe, get that breed.

I volunteer at a local animal sheltar twice a week. I do this because my parents refuse to get me a dog. They think that I won’t be able to handle it when it dies, or responsible enough to train it. I couldn’t when i was 6 and Annie died, but I’m 15 now. I have enough money to get any dog from the animal shelter or the pound. There is the sweetest young Australian Shephard that I want so bad! The only problem is that she is missing a leg, “Too much work.” says the parents. They don’t relieze she gets around just fine on three legs! It was a birth defect, not an abuse issue, so their is no behavioral problems attached to that.

I agree with you on this one, you are showing how much you care, and are also trying to give a dog who may otherwise be euthanased a second chace. As long as you are active, an Aussie Shepherd would be a beautiful family member. Also, with your dog dying when you were 6 i apologise for this, but NO child should be responsible for any animal solely when they are this age. Even twelve year olds should not be the sole carer of their pet. A dog is a family thing and particularly with young children, an adult should be responsible enough to not let it get neglected.

Its fair to say everyone who has commented loves dogs but parents need to think about the practicality of owning dogs. Im 19 live in my own flat and own two dogs. They cost a fortune! They are both mine and i pay everything for them myself. My childhood dog which i owned when i was 5 till 13 although i loved him very much i didnt do nearly enough for him just because i was young i didnt realise even though i loved dogs had done all my research and knew what i had to do. My mum had to do it instead. You may have the time just now but for a lot of people it gets old fast. They take up much more time than you realise.
With my two they get walked in the morning then i have to put there dinner out for them to defrost, then i go to work, come back take them a walk, train them, dinner, spend time with them, walk again, get them set for bed, walk again then get them settled for the night. My older dog who is 14 cries when ever she is left alone which used to be a nightmare before we got our second dog. My younger dog who is 2 is not 100% house trained despite frequant walks and training so i frequently have to clean up after her. You need to pick up their business, they can be sick which you need to clean, they need groomed, they need there eyes and ears cleaned. You need to make sure they are clean all over. What if it is a nippy dog and continually bites you because your younger? Dogs take authority from the leader of the household who will be whoever tells you to do things (ie your parents). They wont see you as pack leader unless you call the shots in the household. 2 of our pups have been that way. One was a border collie whos instinct was to herd my youngest sister because she was young. She is good with dogs and involved in training etc. but there was no way of stopping him. Our other pup who lives at mum and dads house does the same and is a cavapoo. Because the pup has so much energy she continually nips at my sisters ankles even though they train her but would never dream of doing that to my parents.
Cost, can you afford to pay for vet bills, at least £30 a year for each dog, then if it gets ill much more, dog food can be up to £30 a month on cheap food, toys, bedding, collars, insurance, classes, actual cost of the dog? Your parents need to be able to afford the dog for you. Maybe they cant and just dont want to tell you that.
My whole life revolves around my dogs, i love going out and partying but if i want to do that i have to get MY PARENTS to watch them. If they didnt i would have no life at all other than them. I love them more than anything but you need help with owning dogs or thats all you’ve got. Maybe thats all you want just now but life changes.
You may really want a dog but are you really prepared to do that for 14 years sometimes + during exams, when you go to work, when its your summer break. Chances are your parents will need to help at some time or another with costs or looking after the dog, so if they’re not on board its not fair for the dog to be brought into that environment. Dogs pick up very easily when its not wanted and it wont be happy.
Learn everything you can about dogs and when you have your own house you can be the responsible dog owner you want to be

What if it is a nippy dog and continually bites you because your younger? Dogs take authority from the leader of the household who will be whoever tells you to do things (ie your parents). They wont see you as pack leader unless you call the shots in the household. 2 of our pups have been that way. One was a border collie whos instinct was to herd my youngest sister because she was young. She is good with dogs and involved in training etc. but there was no way of stopping him. Our other pup who lives at mum and dads house does the same and is a cavapoo. Because the pup has so much energy she continually nips at my sisters ankles even though they train her but would never dream of doing that to my parents.
Cost, can you afford to pay for vet bills, at least £30 a year for each dog, then if it gets ill much more, dog food can be up to £30 a month on cheap food, toys, bedding, collars, insurance, classes, actual cost of the dog? Your parents need to be able to afford the dog for you. Maybe they cant and just dont want to tell you that.

KK-border collies are not advised for first time dog owners. They are incredinly intelligent, too intelligent for many households. A border collie could be bouncing off the walls when left alone as they are very active particularly a puppy-they are bred for competitive sport (sheep herding). They are more likely than other breeds to show agression due to there breeding as there instinct is to nip the sheep if they refuse to move. Also likely to try and herd your cat. As with all breeds there are exceptions to this of course.

I know that it wont work but you cood still try it and if that doesnt work try this :
1. do all of the steps above if thy say no go to step two
2. look up things about your breed and tell them the good things about havin a dog
3. if they wont listen to you then write a letter to them telling them all of the advantiges of havin a dog
4. if that even doesnt work then try doing extra chores and make your own meal every once in a while; this will show them that u r rsponsible
5. also, tell them that you will pay for the dog, but if u cant and u get an allowance then tell them that however much the dog was they can take away from your allowance
6. if this doesnt work than your parents are stubern

i tried this then i ended upwith two dogs lol then two years later my mum got me horse ( i haden’t even beenasking for one i was quite happy with the riding lessons )so yayyyyy the one other thing i did was to walk my f iends three dogs and i would bring them in to the house with my mums permission and iinvite my mum out on walks to show her that a walk with a dog is great fun i now walk my dogs and ride my horse at the same time in cockington

I got a dog, just not from using this. Take care of your cousin\’s dog or friend\’s dog or neighbor\’s dog. I took care of my cousin\’s dog during the summer in like August, and we made plans to get me a dog in late September and got him October 3!!! By the way, he\’s and English Mastiff/Boxer mix. 8 and a half months old and is past my hip!!!

Honestly, I don’t think that you should blame your parents. Why? Because they’re afraid the dog might break furniture, bite people, act rudely, pee in the house, claw up the walls, and so forth. Taking care of a dog is very hard – You have to walk it, feed it, play with it, and train it. They may just be afraid you won’t take care of it.
My parents won’t get me a dog. I’ve researched, begged them, asked them, written essays, talked to them, done everything I basically can. Since I was old enough to know what a dog was, I’ve been longing for one. Asking doesn’t help; they just get aggravated and yell at me for asking them and being annoying. Apparently, I’m just not responsible enough. Prove to them you can be good enough to raise a dog. Raising a dog can cost you thousands of dollars a year, and a lot of time. It’s worth it, but maybe they don’t realize it. STOP whining. STOP begging. Try to reason to them and show you’re not a little immature baby. Maybe you should set up a budget estimate, to show them you’re serious. Tell or show them what you’ll do, and how you’ll do it (Feeding them, training them, etc.) so they know you’re not clueless.
I’m volunteering at a local pet shop to prove that I’m mature enough and know how to raise dogs – to those who are wondering, they buy from breeders and treat the dogs and other pets well. Maybe you people who are screaming and whining should consider doing that.
For beginners, you shouldn’t chose a large dog. Sure, German Shepherds, Siberian Huskies, Wolfhounds, and Border Collies are beautiful and friendly, but for a teen like me, you won’t be able to handle them. There are exceptions, of course, but large and energetic dogs may be too much of a handful, and perhaps you’ll end up dropping your much-loved dog at the shelter.
Think it through before you even attempt to beg for a dog; and keep what I said in mind. Hopefully some of your wishes will come true and you’ll get a dog. Otherwise, there’s always a tomorrow.

Hi. I think I have tried absolutely everything in order to get a dog. I have wrote a twenty two page booklet, put posters up in the house, given my parents dog books, looked after my nannan’s dogs, done extra chores, looked after my guinea pigs, offered all my savings, said I’ll only have half my pocket money, adopt a dog not buy one to save money, talked about our old dog to show I know what to do, told my mum and dad all my knowledge, researched supplies and costs, researched dog adoption websites, researched these websites, looked at other dog sale websites, did a petition, got my friend to write a letter, called my dad ‘Your hyness’, cried and begged.
After I give my parents my petition and booklet I will be stuck for ideas. I know my parents are slowly warming up to the idea, but I mean slowwlllyy.Does any one have any ideas to how I can speed up this ‘warming process’. Thanks.

I am 18 years old, I volunteer around thirty hours a week at the local SPCA. I have straight A’s, I can not get a dog without my parents permission because they are willing to pay for my college. I have two cats that I take care of and spoil. My mom is all for getting a dog. My little brother really wants a dog. Then we all go and ask my dad if we can have a dog one day, and he says no……..then about a month later asked again, and he said if any of us asked again, or even hinted about it, I wouldn’t be allowed to volunteer anymore. How do you handle that? Do not say that I should move out, I live part of the year in a dorm room, and my parents wouldn’t go for me living in an apartment because college is really far away from home. Also, the dog is for my brother not for me, he wants one of the puppies I am currently training at the SPCA. Any ideas of convincing him?

go to all pets club or somewere that you can get dogs give it all of your money and get gift cards. when you finall have all of the money in gift cards buy the dog, throw away the recite, and bring it home and say how much you love it and cry if they bring it back. i think it will work thats how i get the stuff im not sposed

I’m already doing all the work in the house and acreage and all those suggestions are either already being done or irrelevant. I have lots of other animals. I have a strong mothering desire, and since I’m too ugly to have human children, all I can think about is getting a puppy (last had one in 1991). My parents are against it completely even though they do nothing but lay around the house. The problem is once I accepted I’d never have a dog, my mother went and got an adult dog. The dog growled and barked at me and wouldn’t let me touch her so she was returned. I ruined my one chance.

Whenever I ask my dad if I can have a dog, he always says the same sort of things. “It’ll cost more money.” I know that! I want to help pay for it! The kind of dog I want is a German Shepard. When I told him that, he said he couldn’t deny they’re good dogs, but they shed a lot. Yeah, I know that too. We have a big yard, so let’s put it to use! “There’s lots of work required in taking care of a dog.” Taking care of them is some of the fun part! Before, I told him I wanted a horse. I’ve always been known as the ‘horse girl’ at my school, at home-everywhere. I knew how much it costed to have a horse. It can cost over $400 a month for just food. So when I was sure I wouldn’t get a horse, I researched dogs. I instantly fell in love with the German Shepard. And what do ya know? When we had to board our dogs for when we left for vacation once, there was a German Shepard for sale! Then dad went through all the stuff I’ve heard. cost, care . . . It’s not like I’m a desperate little kid, either. I’ve loved animals all my life. I want to be a vet when I grow up and I volunteer at a vet clinic. I’ve never gotten a B until 5th grade. If you’re wondering, yes, I do have 3 other pets, but they weren’t for me. 2 of them-my dogs- are about old enough to die and their health isn’t too good, either. I have a cat that we got about 3 years ago, but she was adopted for my sister’s birthday. I’ve put pets that I want on my wish list every year! And what happens? She puts a kitten on her wish list once and she gets it! If you’ve even taken the time to read this, do you know what I can do to convince my parents?

Okay, so I already have a really really really good dog. But it’s on the larger side. Although, I want one of my own that is smaller and that i can hold and cuddle with! But my dad doesnt really like dogs. But my mom loves dogs and want to rehabilitate dogs like Ceasar Millan does on The Dog Whisperer, but she STILL SAYS NO. And she always gets mad @ me when i ask her 4 a dog. but i dont wanna b a pest cuz then it’ll ruin my chances of getting another dog. my mom and dad say it’d b 2 expensive to have 2 dogs. and they dont think I’ll be responsible enough but i know that i am! And out of the 3 kids in my family, i am the best at walking the dog properly and feeding it properly! and my mom even said so! BUT YET SHE STILL SAYS NO! I dont get it @ all.

I used to have a dog when I was 5 years old. It was a Lhasa Apso. It was soooo cute, but it had an infection in her right eye. I never really got to take care of it that much because whenever I tried to help, my mom said not to help. It was my aunt’s. Later when I was six, it ran away.
. Her name was Princess. I’m 12 years old right now and ever since she ran away, I wanted a puppy. I want either a Seberian Husky, or Smalandsstovare. I have a friend that has a Smalandsstovare that just had 4 puppies. There so small. She is giving the all black ones for free and the brown and black ones for less than $100. But my mom said no. But I read her that list that is up at the way way top, and she said she will think about it. YAY. Thanks. xoxoxox

Life sucks. I want a german shepard but i am actually a little afraid of them. my mom had one she said it was really nice but my friend had one, it bared its teeth at me and tried to bite me. good thing it was on a leash. Also my mom is a neat freak. she doesnt like hair. the only reason i have a cat is because its my great grandma’s. luckly my mom is getting married to a guy who really wants a dog and ill get one. anyone i want. but i am still afraid of german sheperds what do i do?

Well, I think you should maybe get a diffrent time of dog, like a shitzu cross maltese, border collie, labradore, poodle, dalmation and wateva. I want a border collie. I really want a dog. When my granddad was little he had 3 when he lived with his parents and 6 when he lived with his grandparents. ( I live with my grandparents) the are very young compared other grandparents they are 50.
I’ve been asking for a dog for a long time but my nan says that I’m not responsible and I wouldn’t look after it. I’ve looked after 2 rabbits and a hamster by myself with no help when I was much younger. My uncle brought back a cat and he said he’d look after it but he doesn’t so I do.
I love dogs buy my grandad said that I would go for walks with it and he doesn’t want to look after it.
I don’t understand the fact that my brother gets what ever he wants and I don’t. If my grandad had dogs when he was younger why can’t he let me have one.
I only want a beagle and will willingly pay most of my allowance towards shots food ect
I’m willing to walk it and be responsible for it but they won’t budge. Please help x

LOL! I’m 23 and haven’t had a dog yet…my brother got one when he was five…never did anything with him etc…and I’ve been asking and researching Siberian huskies for ten years, even offered my parents rent for the dog to stay in their house (for no longer than a year and a half) and they would not have to pay for anything with it…I still got ‘no’ as an answer…hrm, they don’t suck I just think it’s a bit one sided…owell I’m

I have been asking my parents for a dog since a 2 years after my last one past away. its bin 9 years and my parents finally gave in and got me one. I can tell all of you are under 12 years old but u got to be patient and wait show your parents that your responsible even if that means 1 year of doing laundry, dishes and getting good grades, and if they still don’t allow you 1 that sucks, 2nd once your 18 you can buy one but if you do buy one when your older you better have the money and the heart to take care of your Pup.

here is an idea:
the nxt stray dog u find (make sure they have no coller on) bring it back to ur house and tell ur mum or dad, if u dont think they r home call them and let them no ur taking a dog home, there is nothing worse then coming to a muddy dod that u hav neva seen before. if ur parent/s keep the dog for a night and plan on taking it to the pound so the owner can pick it up, bath it, and show how much u love this pet. NOW, this can go 2 ways:
1. if ur parent/s take it to the pound and some1 picks it up u could gain responsibility by that (just spend as much time as u can with it) and they might think about getting u ur own dog.
2. no one might pick up the dog, so either they put the dog to sleep, they sell it to a random person or u take it home(this how i got my dog)just make sure u make ur parents feel guilty about the dog, u neva no how some1 could treat this innocent creature, or make them fell bad by saying “u know that they put animals to sleep if they dont get an owner, i really loved that dog, wish it was mine (then a small sigh, not to obvious though)”

im gonna write myself a note that what does a dog need and stuff like that!!=) and when i go to sleep im gonna leave it out on my desk and gonna pretend that i forgot it there!!!and at night my mom will see ir b-cuz she alway come to the room and give me kisses=)) but i dont care because i really wanna a dog so maybe shell see it and read it and maybe show it to my dad and then maybe they will buy a puppy or something!!or u can just pretend to go to the bathroom and leave the paper on the kitchen table….sooo i really want a puppy a boy yorkie =) their cute but my dad doesnt want dogs in the house because he think they smell bad!!but my parents just can get that im will care about him they laugh when i say something and sometimes my dad says yes and then laugh when i say okay soo if someone has a better idea plz reply!!lov ya byee
