A private vehicle is a must in this modern life especially for a family man. If you have private car or anything like that, you have to allocate your money just for your car expenses.
1) Prepare for the car gas. Calculate how much you travel for a day and multiply it to a month. Add the distance for extra purposes. The distance of your travel is proportionate to the gas that you have to fill in a month. The more you travel the more gas you have to fill in the car. Do you know that in Japan, many people walk or cycle to go to their workplace? They are not only save their money, but also saving the mother earth from pollution.
2) Prepare for the road tax. In certain countries, you have to pay for the car insurance before you can pay the road tax. Actually the car insurance cost higher than the road tax itself. However, because of safety measures, every car owner should pay for this insurance so that when accident happens, the insurance company could pay for the damages. You can pay for this cost for the hold year or just half of the year.
3) Paying the installment. Not everybody can buy a car with a full payment. Sometimes people pay them according to their financial capability. We have to pay the installment monthly so that the bank will not take the car from us, leaving us clueless. The best way to make installment is to pay the front payment so that we do just have to pay low interest for car loan.
4) Prepare for the car maintenance. Sometimes, we have to bring our car to the mechanic to maintain its performance and stability. Lubricant oil must be changed, tire must be aligned, battery must be well charged and cooling water must not dry. This regular check actually can save you from having car breakdown in the middle of your journey. The cost of maintaining engine performance is actually lower than repairing it.
