Seven Plus Points About Recessions

There is currently the worst financial crisis in a century, but like other times of economic stress, there are several reasons to be happy.
Building Character
Its natural. When you’re cash-strapped, you begin to be more efficient and resultantly more dignified. You feel better about the little that you earn and realize the importance of things besides money, like family and friends.
Less Wastage
When people have less to spend, they’re naturally going to buy less. That means less consumption and more reusing of all sorts of products which is tremendously beneficial to the environment and overall economic efficiency because more is being used from the same one good.
Less Pollution
Again, when people have thinner wallets, they drive less or downgrade to smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles. These cars start dominating the roads and because of their high MPG, they help slow down global warming and make the air we all breathe cleaner.
Better Fitness
Since people can’t afford to go out as often, its either home-cooked meals or high-nutrition foods that people start eating more. Eating high-nutrition foods like fresh vegetables and salads improves your health significantly in every dimension making the community healthier and happier.
Savoring Pleasures
Now that you can only go on vacation once every other year, you enjoy it much more than when you used to go twice a year. This is because you spend a very long time waiting for it and so when you actually go, you ensure you avail all opportunities, explore more and enjoy the while to its fullest. Similarly for the products you buy, outings you go on and dinners you go out for.
No More “For Granted”
That you realize how easily your financial status can spin around, you begin to start understanding and recognizing things you used to take for granted because you thought they were “normal”. You begin to feel happy that you have a car, that you get 3 square meals a day and have family and friends. These things are often ignored when one is in reasonably financial conditions and is more focused on earning more than enjoying what he already has.
Great Deals
Since the economy is in shambles, retailers offer astounding deals on practically every kind of product. That means you can get almost everything from clothing to cars to electronics at a fraction of their year-ago prices!
There are a lot of great things about recessions, just like there are a lot of bad points. To be happy in life, its important to choose to look at the good, rather than the bad. Be happy!
