This is about the time I got scammed and I got my revenge back.
Hello my fellow readers. Today I would like to talk to you guys about scams. We really dislike scammers and I have had gotten in trouble because of them. So I was on Craigslist and I saw that there was a mystery shopper position open so I decided that I was going to apply for it. I sent the person my email and I received a reply right away. He said give him my name number address etc. He said he was going to send me a check in the amount of 4,500 dollars and to wire 3,200 to his account and I was to take the rest for myself for doing the mystery shopping job. I was like wow this is the easiest job ever (and so I thought). He told me to go to my bank and transfer the check into my account and send him the 3,200 dollars.
I get on the train and something told me to ask the cop is this check was authentic. I asked her and she was like yes it is very authentic. So now I am just like wow an easy 1,300 for me every week. I take the check to the bank and I guess she knew it was a fraudulent so she called the bank to see if they could verify that the check was authentic and she said I am sorry but you cannot deposit this check. Now I am looked at as a bad guy because I am trying to deposit this check. I told the lady my story and she said report him. Then I was like no I am going to get my revenge. So I decided to call the guy who sent me the check. I was going to twist it up and make him mad. So I called and he asked me if I had deposited the check into my account. I said “yeah and it went through too. I think I am going to keep all of the money for myself because I need new appliances and furniture and this money would really help me out. (Now he thinks that his scam actually works so now he is mad). He said “well I am just going to call the cops and have you arrested for stealing from me and you are going to pay. I was like “just shut up you SCAMMER. You really are going to call the cops? They will be more interested in bring your ass down. Go ahead and call them. I will be waiting”. I hung up and just sat there with a very big smile on my face because I got my revenge (no money) but revenge. Do you guys think that I should have done that or I should have left it alone?

You did the best thing. Taught him a lesson. I wouldn’t have called him a scammer you could have let the anger brew up if you would have led him on further. You held all the cards.
i think its great the way you handled it.
made me laugh anyway.

I love it! I’d do the same thing, believe me.
When telemarketers call my phone incessantly,
I say “Can you hold–I have someone at the door.’
Not…
I set the phone down, and go about my business.
