What about the old bucket that has a hole in it? It no longer holds water and has no use to you as a bucket. You can use it in your garden as flower pot to grow flowers. That is a great way to reuse and recycle old bucket.

What about old diaries and notebooks? You can cut out the blank pages and use them for you note pad. Put them beside your phone to write down messages.

If you run out of ideas on reuse and recycle of broken down or damaged items, please rope in your children to help you think. Children are naturally creative, and they do come up with some brilliant ideas.

You will be surprised to see how your children reuse and recycle all the old stuff in the house.

At the same time, teach your children the value of money. Teach them to reuse and recycle their possessions.

Children outgrow their clothes and toys very fast. For those clothes and toys that look as good as new, you may want to host a garage sale and sell them off. For those clothes and toys that are old, do find another use for them. Reuse and recycle them into cleaning rags or decorative items.

What about the piece of lemon in the kitchen? You have squeezed out the juice. What else can a piece of lemon used for? You can soak the piece of lemon in a pail of water for a few minutes, squeeze out the water from the lemon. The pail of water can use to mob the floor. It will leave a fresh lemon scent in the room.

The ultimate use for the piece of lemon is always the compost bin. Having a compost bin can reduce your need for fertilizer. Compost is a natural fertilizer that is free. It does not cost you a single cent to prepare your own compost for the garden.

Saving money does require a lot of creativity to reuse and recycle existing items. The effort is worth the money saved.

So folks, what are you waiting for? Look around your house for the broken down and damaged items, find alternate use for them and save money.
