Everyone wants to find ways to save money. Here are a few random tips to help put change back into your pockets.
With our economy the way it is, everyone is trying to find ways to save a buck here and there. Sometimes we forget to look in the obivious places. Here are a few tips to help you put change back into your pocket.
- Cluster your driving errands. Gas is going down in price, but we don’t know for how long! Try grouping all of your errands together. Go to the dry cleaners on the way to the grocery store. On your way home, stop at the post office.
- When planning vacations, try booking airfair really late or really early! Try using expedia or priceline for booking trips. Just remember if you cancel, you usually don’t get your money back. If you are flying, remember to pack light, airlines are now charging for checking bags!
- If you are a credit card user, choose cards that pay rewards. Besides paying your bill in full each month, you are also getting something back. Use your rewards on something you really need or will use, or you can just choose to get cash back!
- Cancel subscriptions to magazines that you don’t read. You are just throwing away money each month!
- If you pay for channels you don’t watch with your cable or dish provider, cancel them.
- And last, don’t pay for email service. Google hosted email, yahoo, and hotmail are all free!
