Question for Triond Users
A little question about the articles on the News Feed of the Triond member page…
I have been on here for a couple of months and there is still something that I haven’t been able to figure out. On the News Feed where the articles from friends appear on the screen, sometimes after an article has appeared once, it appears again. Sometimes this is later in the day or a couple days later… the timing probably isn’t significant… so back to the point.
I am just wondering how this happens. Are these articles resubmitted, fixed, relocated or otherwise? This might not even be something that the average user would think about so much but I like to know things and this has been bugging me for some time!
Thanks to any and all who can give me an insight as to how this happens! Apologies for any signs of incompetence on my part!

My guess is as good as yours.
I have a question too.
What earns more revenue for you pictures or articles?

This website’s programming has always been held together with duct tape it seems. It’s been happening for a while, I barely blink at it anymore.

From what I have noticed, is that an article is submitted, but, placed in the wrong category or site. When Triond, finally, places it where it’s supposed to be, they add it to the feed again on the right site.

I think if your article appears twice it is better because more people see and read it.

Its like a stack of paper when it is read and commented upon it pops back to the top of the pile – hannanrkhan – Articles earn more but only only specific sites you would need to look at your earnings ratio to views on sites to see which earns the most.
Hope that answers your questions……….

Good question. They move articles around every once in awhile.

I do believe that articles reappear after being relocated and or fixed. And sometimes I have noticed because of all the Triond glitches, some articles are duplicated for some users.

Your q is as good as mine! Whats it like here anyway?

Hi alkins, thanks for your comment and question. If you mean Triond, then it’s good. You can make a bit of money on ad revenue if that’s what your after but it’s also a lot of fun here too. I just need to figure out a couple of things with the site! You can always join if you’d like.

prsol46 , I agree with you and I guess it’s merely a coincidence , it happens once in a while , don’t worry keep on posting . Take care.

Triond team knows about this topic. For some writers, sometimes, I noticed but that is not a problem for me.

I’ve noticed that in my news feed but only recently. Also, I’ve noticed a number of my articles have also been moved to totally inappropriate categories which I’m sure doesn’t help with views.

As they say above, I think it is when an article has been put in the wrong category then relocated. Welcome to triond.
Brenda Nelson | Jan 1, 2012 | Reply
Yup, the correct answer is when the persons article was first published it went to the wrong site – it was relocated on the correct site and you get another notice.

It’s when the article has been located in the wrong category or the author has submitted a fix some time after. What worries me is that after over a year and having increased my views and comments a great deal, my articles aren’t on the Newsfeed anymore. I wonder if they appear on someone else front page, but certainly not on mine. If they don’t show up, who withing the community are going to view them! Thanks for sharing though, friend!
