Making Money: An Obsession?

It seems to me at this very moment in time, the world has gone mad with making just a few extra cents online. At the moment, the world is in a financial crisis, all because the fat-cats at the top were too greedy. I blame them for the recession.

There are literally thousands of sites which offer you a few cents for either clicking, writing, or uploading material. Is it really worth it? I mean, consider the amount of time and effort it takes you to click a bit and earn about $0.02. Sure, if you hit it right, you could make a fair bit of cash doing this, but it is in no way enough to make a full time living on. There are also plenty of scam sites out there who are just dying to take your money after promises of money. These are the sort of sites which let the side down.

All the clicking sites used to be a hobby for me, but I soon discovered I had an obsession with what I was doing. I was going crazy just trying to make a few extra cents, and for what? I was being very unsociable, and moody if sites weren’t loading, or if I lost my money. My girlfriend picked up on my obsession, and we ended up in a massive argument, one thing led to another, and we almost ended up apart. Luckily, I decided to pull out of this obsession, and stopped trying to make extra money.

What I do now is purely for a hobby. This article for one is a hobby, not a money making scheme. I enjoy writing, whether it is music, poetry, stories or reviews. I also enjoy taking photo’s, but I’m not so good.

If you also agree with me, and believe it is more of an obsession, then my advice is this:
Don’t try to make a few extra cents a week at the risk of losing everything. Try getting an extra part time job, or better yet, try saving money, and the money you save, put into a tin, and only open the tin when it’s full. You will be pleasantly surprised at the result.
