There truly is more to life than work, sleep, home, and repeat.
Life as we preform it is not living at all. We think being in a race to get to the top of the financial mountain is worth more than our souls. We would rather spend money on meaningless things, and to think of ways to give back to the place we call home. We would rather focus on every sent, than to feed a family. And, we do this day in and day out.
We steadily rush in and out of worlds without so much as a passing hello to a neighbor. People die in their homes and are only discovered once the smells become overbearing. Children suffer inside homes while neighbors rest peacefully. People would rather hide behind computer screens than getting out and doing something in a community. We stare awkwardly at the people taking a stance on something because we think they are mad. We would rather take a pill with all the different side effects than to recognize there is a natural cure at our finger tips.
There’s so many ways we can go wrong as a whole. But, when it comes to true love, the love of self, there is nothing we can do to stop it. You can try to hate yourself and fix the problem areas you feel need to be fixed, and you will find yourself still staring back at you.
As the world continues to move into a less connected more shallow world, we will find more need for medicine because misery breeds disease. When you are not happy with yourself, you lower your energy. And, when you lower your energy you open yourself up to pathogens to come in and wreak havoc inside your body. And, when you are feeling ill you are not able to move about in the same ways, there for you become sluggish. It’s a downward fall of nothing positive. Sure, you’ll get better. But, you are only temporarily better until the next disease comes around.
You can’t live your life in a healthy form while you are constantly cutting yourself down in between your “healthy” thoughts. You are not benefiting anyone when you bully yourself. End your suffering and come out of this dark period you have placed yourself in. See the world for what it is, not what you need to own of it. Value the things you have and give them to another because giving is the true wealth of this world – not money.
