You can shop smarter and save more money. There’re shopping centers that will overcharge us and we have to make a change. You should remember that businesses are out there to make profits and you’ll be paying them more for items that can be less elsewhere. You have to be an informed shopper. You have to shop for great products at affordable price. You can do this by avoiding high ends mall, brand names merchandise, new merchandise, and high ends stores. High ends stores have to pay too much overheads and they can’t sell merchandise for less.

Avoid the Mall

The mall is the place that you should avoid if you want to save money. They overcharge you because they have to pay $15,000  a month on rent. High ends mall can be this costly. They have to charge as much as they can in order to cover their bills. You’re pretty much helping them paying their bills. This is why places like EBay will be a better choice. EBay business owner doesn’t have a lot of overheads and they can sell their merchandise for less. If you shop at outlet, the price will be less. If you want to save money, you should avoid shopping at high ends malls.

Avoid Brand Names

Brand names are very high cost. You can pay $100 for a pair of jeans if it’s a brand name. You can buy similar jeans for about $30 at Walmart. It’ll have the same style and cut but it’s not a brand name. Brand names items aren’t always high quality. It just carry a prestige that can be costly. Brand names items are status items. People that are wealthy like to wear these items to signify their wealth. If you want to save money, you should avoid designer boutique clothing.

Shop at Outlets and Regular Stores

If you shop at outlets or regular stores, you’ll save more. The merchandise can be high quality but it’ll cost less because it’s last season’s merchandise or  it’s overstock merchandise. There’re plenty of brand names clothing at outlets. You can also find lower price clothing at Walmart, Sears and Target. You can find great design for less.

Sales Day

You should wait for a sales to buy clothing because it’s less expensive that way. Clothing that just hits the rack can be regular price and it’s expensive. You should always look for a big sales like the holiday sales to go shopping.
