How to Manage Money for Teenagers

You love to spend your money on things you want when you’re young. But what if you could have a lot of money later on instead of spend it all every month. It is very important to learn how to manage money when you’re young because it will help when you are living on your own or have a family.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

1. Of course, you will need to get money. Find a way to get some income every month. You could apply for a job where you live or find ways to make money on the Internet.

2. Start saving some of the money you make. If you earn somewhere around 100 dollars a week save 25 dollars of that. That will give you an extra 100 dollars at the end of the month. Or 1,200 dollars in a year.

3. If you want to, you can always open a savings account with a local bank. This will help you save more and you can earn some interest to earn more.

4. You should stay organized. Maybe you could get a program or journal so you can keep your income and expenses tallied. This can help you save even more because you could see where you are spending too much on (if you buy a $5 burger every day that’s $150 dollars at the end of the month, think about what you could buy with $150 dollars).
