How to Enjoy Christmas with No Money

A note on Christmas when there is no money.

Money is tight. Christmas is coming. Santa is squeezing into his red leather pants again. What is one to do when every time you open your purse you find emptiness greeting you?

We were discussing the days of bartering the other day and how at one time money really didn’t matter. ‘You cut my hair and i’ll make you a bracelet’ and so on and so forth. So if money really is the enemy this yuletide why not have an evening of exchanging ‘gifts’ in the talents that you possess sense rather than what can be wrapped?

The interaction between everyone will be a more correct interpretation of what christmas is about. We tend to forget what people ‘need’ and buy them what they ‘want’.

Don’t let the state of economy affect your time with family and friends. Remember that the holidays are all about spending quality time with each other and not spending quantities on each other.
