Got money problems. Learn how to avoid legal proceedings and get your bills paid.
Paying bills is something everyone has to do, regardless. If you make a bill it is your obligation to pay that bill. Now, more often than not, many of us come upon problems in our lives which cause us to get behind with our creditors. Sorry but it happens. And many of these individuals, instead of talking to their creditors about their circumstances they just let their bills go and hope that the creditor(s) will just write off the amount at the end of the year or after 7 years, and not ever do anything about the bill. In this day and age and because of the economy, creditors are now filing law suits against its clients and garnishing wages on a regular basis, and since the laws regarding bankruptsy has changed, creditors are finding it easier and easier to get the money out of their clients, one way or another and forgo writing off clients unpaid bills at the end of the year. For those of you that are having a hard time paying their creditors, you can eliminate court fees and law suits simply by contacting your creditor in writing and explaining your situation (make sure to keep a copy of your letter for yourself), and by making a $1 (or an amount you can afford) payment every month until you can resume regular monthly payments. By law they have to accept your payment. If they choose not to accept your payment, then you have a legitimate case against them and can file such and have your debt eliminated completely. Some advice, before you go writing a letter to your creditor, your circumstances had better merit the $1 a month payment and you must show proof of it being so, or your case in court will be null and void. An HONEST effort is better than NO effort at all!
