I like your percentages -- I think they are appropriate for most people. There do need to be rewards for working hard and doing all the right things in life. For me, I'd rather go out to one great restaurant a month, than to a bunch of so-so fast food places each week. One is a treat, the other is convenience. You don't have to be a millionaire to be happy, you have to be able to do things you enjoy. I find that saving 90% of the time and splurging 10% also makes me feel rich.
