Five Things You Should Never Procrastinate Doing
There are many things we put off in life, but these are things we should never put off doing. Learn how to change your life now, and reap the benefits.
Paying off Debt
A person with debt has more money problems than they are even aware. Not only is the debt hanging over their head every day, but it is accumulating interest. As the interest builds up, the debt grows. Credit card debt is horrible for this but people need to also consider their mortgage as debt. The sooner you pay off your mortgage, the less money you had to pay total.
With credit card debt, or other loans, it is important to pay off more than the minimum required every month. Putting off paying off debt can cost you thousands of dollars in the long run, so paying it off sooner can save you thousands.
Leaving an Abusive Relationship
Many people feel trapped by being in an abusive relationship. Most know their relationship is horrid, but do nothing to change their situation. I was in a terrible relationship for years, everyone told me to leave. Finally one day I packed my car, left everything else behind, and did leave. To this day I regret not doing so sooner. If you are in an abusive relationship, do not waste any more time thinking it will improve, get out now, and get on with your life.
Quitting a Bad Habit
Some bad habits are minor, such as nail biting, but some really impact the rest of your life for years to come, such as smoking. Smoking is not only bad for your health, but bad for your pocket book. How much do you spend in a week on cigarettes? Now multiply that by 52 (weeks in the year). You might be amazed at how much money it costs you. Now ask yourself what would you do with that money if somebody handed it to you. Surely you can quit your bad habit now to gain that money back in the future.
Getting Rid of Clutter
Did you know that some studies showed that clutter can contribute to a person having migraine headaches? Decluttering can be very freeing. You can do this by having a garage sale or taking things to a second hand store. Decluttering is something many people put off, partially because they do not know where to start, and partially because for some reason we become attached to our “junk”. Anything that has not been used in the past year should be done away with. There is no point in keeping clothing you have not worn for two years thinking you may wear it again in the future – you probably wont’.
Saying “I Love You” to your Family
I recently watched my father die. His death was expected, but premature, he had leukemia. I was able to say “I love you” to him many times over the last year of his life. Some people get no warning of their death, they are gone in a blink of an eye, and you may be left with regret for not saying “I love you” sooner, or more often.

All very good advice. Regarding credit cards – they are very convenient, but if you do not pay off the balance every month, you should not have one. I am appalled at how much advertising we see for payday loans, reverse mortgage loans, and personal loans for things that will depreciate. We have never borrowed money to buy vehicles or furniture. My car may not look like much, but it is paid for.

Brenda, I agree with you on every rule. I would say, never go into debt to begin with if you can possible avoid it.

The rule I need to attend the most from above is decluttering! This year has been horrendous for all sorts of reasons and the clutter is now at a ridiculous level. I’ll free myself of a little bit today

God bless you, and I hope you are doing better. You have a lot to share to people. Common sense doesn’t owe anyone debts as far as things are concerned.
