Five Things You Can Do with One Trillion Dollars

Five things you, and I, will never be able to do, with the one trillion dollars that we’ll never have.
We all dream about becoming multi millionaires, but what would it be like to become a trillionaire? Here are some things you could do if you had 1 trillion in the bank.
Buy a Bugatti Veyron
The Bugatti Veyron is generally known as the world’s most expensive production car. Buying one can set you back as much as $1.7 million. That’s right, it can cost more than the average person makes in their whole life in a lot of developed countries. If you have 1 trillion dollars though, you could buy one. Hell, you could buy 588,235 of them. You probably wouldn’t ever need that many, but it’s comforting to know that you could have that many.

Bail out Wall Street
Even if you didn’t feel like it, it’s comforting to know that not only will you get through the global recession unscathed; you could even prevent it if you felt like it. But seeing as you are already rich, you probably don’t care about some street in New York. You can leave it to Bush to deal with his country’s problems.

Visit McDonalds
You could buy 1 trillion double cheeseburgers in McDonalds. For those of you who can’t be bothered to figure it out, that’s about 3,200 double cheeseburgers per person in America, or 160 double cheeseburgers per person on Earth. Alternatively, you could just buy McDonalds, along with Coca Cola and anything else that takes your fancy.

Convert Cash to Zimbabwean Dollars.
The Zimbabwean government recently redenominated the Zimbabwean Dollar (ZWD). 10 billion old ZWD is now equal to 1 new ZWD. Even so, your 1 trillion USD would be worth 57.47 trillion ZWD. So basically, you could buy a loaf of bread and some water and butter. You might want to stick with the USD.

You could buy Manchester City Football Club
That’s right, instead of buying a big club like Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona or pretty much any other football team in the world, you could buy Manchester City, just like the Abu Dhabi Group did. Why, I’m not sure. Infact, I can only think of one worse investment. Travel south to London. That’s right, Tottenham Hotspur. You could then spend more money on players like Robinho to build a good side, instead of spending less overall and getting an already good side.

Hopefully you’ll learn a lot from this article. If you ever happen to have 1 trillion dollars, don’t spend it uselessly (ie Option #5).
