Fend for Yourself in a Tough Economy

If I were anymore blunt about this, I would be a baseball bat.

I am so sick and tired of people blaming their problems on the government or economy. It’s not the economy’s fault that you decided to buy a brand new car a week before you lost your job. It is not the governments fault that your spoiled daughter refuses to wear anything but name brand, and your wife insists on charging new shoes to your credit card every week.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I hate all the bureaucratic B.S that got our country into this trillion dollar debt as much as the next guy, but NEWSFLASH- unless you happen to have a trillion or so bucks lying around, there is nothing you can do about that.

What you can do however, is quit your damn whining and learn to fend for yourself. Yes, I feel really bad for you hot-shot 9 to 5-erswith your 6-figure incomes that unjustly got kicked to the curb just like the thousands of other Americans facing rough waters. I think I feel tears starting…..seriously, it’s a tragedy.

Let me guess, you were so convinced of your financial security that you racked up thousands in credit card debt, then lost your future income that you were so sure you had. Hey, what better way to spend then with money YOU DON”T HAVE! Sorry doll, no sympathy here- that little ounce of stupidity lies solely on your shoulders.

The government you despise so much may pat you on the back and hold your hand while cushioning your fall from the top of the success ladder with grants and loans, but the reality is, the only person you can depend on is yourself.

As a parent-less nineteen year old fresh out of high school with seemingly no chance in the world to succeed, you would think that I would be even more pissed than you! However, I have something that you don’t. I tend to keep it to myself but I’ll let you in on my power house secret…..its called COMMON SENSE and MOTIVATION. Add a dash of optimism and you’ve got a recipe for not only some much needed self improvement, but with time, success.

There are so many opportunities out there just waiting to be taken advantage of and all you can do is sit there mourning your losses.

Yes, it is very sad that you lost your job- now get off your ass and do something about it!

I’m not going to hold your hand like I did in my previous articles where I helped you lose weight and communicate with your kids, I will however give you a hint:

ITS CALLED THE INTERNET. ITS THERE FOR A REASON. FIGURE IT OUT.

And in case you were too dense to solve the puzzle, and because I am such a nice person…..

*Try typing “job” into your search engine….it’s a lot of fun.

    Love always,
paperfacesexcandy03874 or formally known as Steph!

  2. haha i love ya gurl this article is great =D

  3. quite sorry but the situation is much more complex than this… but without going it to details, let us assume that it is not. trying to assign fault to stupidity is stupid. you don’t just predict a drop of this magnitude. many of the people that are in trouble now could afford what they were doing, and they could have, most likely, continued to afford their lifestyles with a reasonable drop in the economy. people with lots of money are either smart or lucky, more often the former. they have that money for a reason. calling them stupid is not rational, well in a relative sense i suppose it is not rational. who cares if they blew their money on cars or expensive shoes to make their trophy wife a bangin’ trophy wife? were you not just saying in a previous article that parents should buy their “weird” kid some cool clothes? how much do those cool clothes cost? you may think you are virtuous and righteous but you are shallow and guilty.

  4. “Nikky, come on now”: I think your shift button is broken first of all because once again your sentences do not begin with capital letters.

Second, I think if you don’t like Nicole you should stop stalking her online articles and pull the stick out of your ass.

And last but not least, cool clothes doesn’t mean name brand. I shop at goodwill and the clearance sections and I get a lot of compliments on my clothes. Maybe you should learn how to shop as well as make a cohesive sentence.

  5. You sure know how to get peoples attention. LOL

  6. I’m afraid that stick will always remain there. I’m completely disinterested in helping you get it and you are clearly too incompetant to get it yourself.
