Credit Score

How to find and manage your credit score for free.

Your credit score is something that will let you know how much you can borrow and what kind of state your finances are in after a long period of borrowing and spending.  The higher your credit score, the more likely it is for you to borrow money and the better standing you are with lenders.  The lower your credit score, the harder it is for you to borrow money and get back on track in the future to obtaining a good credit rating.

If you do not know what your credit score is, you should probably find out what it is.  It will help you determine your debt load and will prevent you from applying for a loan if you are not eligible for it, therefor putting your score at a lower rate.  You will want to know your credit score and what it means to you as an individual.  There are ways to determine your score manually, but most of the time it will not be identical to what the credit bureau has on file for you as a recorded credit score.

Your credit score changes due to the amount of missed payments and bad debts that you incur.  It will also change if you are denied a loan at any time.  Usually your credit score can rise or drop around 10 points if you fail to pay off a loan on time or you are rejected for any reason.  This is why it is important to know your credit score and keep it in good standing so that you can raise your score and motor your progress so that in the future you can borrow more money if need be.

The best way to find out your credit score is to request assistance from a professional.  This way you can get first hand knowledge about what the facts are on your credit score and credit rating.  From that point on you can manage it properly and monitor any changes in your score and gain control over your financial future.

  1. The best way to know your credit score is to request it from the credit bureau. I use TrueCredit[dot]com. This is powered by TransUnion and shows what your credit score is from all 3 bureaus; well a round about figure. You get to see your scores and reports side by side. You learn all of the tips you need to get your credit up to par!
