How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs – Fast and Easy

If you have been getting mysterious bites, finding small blood spots or unexplained small black marker dots on your sheets, these could be signs of an early bed bug infestation.

If you know you have bed bugs, then realistically you’ll need to get an exterminator – they’re very difficult to get rid of. If you’re looking to find an exterminator in your area who handles them. There is nothing worse than waking up feeling itchy and scratching due to bedbugs and their bites. Recently, bed bugs hit the news with infesting the Empire State Building, New York movie theaters, hotels and homes nationwide. Bedbugs live within your linens and furniture and will bite you usually at night. Bed bugs bites will leave you with red marks on the body. These red marks are often the only indicator that someone has bedbugs. Research has shown that some bed bugs have become “super bug” that they become resistant to drugs. Bedbug bites are the biggest health problem these pests bring with them.  The bites can cause itching and burning on people’s skin, requiring treatment by corticosteroids like hydrocortisone.  A natural remedy also exists where people apply hot water (hot enough for minor discomfort) to the bite to sooth the itching and inflammation.

So if you’re wondering how to get rid of bed bugs, there’s several ways used. These involve the use of pesticides, isolation of their food source, domestic treatment (sanitization), and the use of a special neem oil.

Remove the main infested item such as mattress and/or bed. I removed my son’s bed. Then either spray your vacuum canister with bedbug spray or vacuum bag with bedbug powder and vacuum. Wash all bedding in bleach and hot water if able to or just hot water. Wash the floor and remaining furniture and baseboards with murphy’s oil soap (bedbugs hate this stuff). Sleep elsewhere if you are able to. Our bedbug problem was upstairs and we moved down to the main floor to sleep for a year honestly!!!!! We removed their food source which was US! It worked like a charm. I’ve tried to get rid these pest, I washed my mattress with hot water and bleach, used raid roach killer and sprayed amonia, it seems to work, but I believe my final results is to get rid of my sofa and chir and mattresses.

  1. This article is very helpful and informative. I have not slept peacefully since I started feeling itchy at night. Bed bugs are pests, why do they even exist?

  2. I can’t stand the thoughts of bedbugs. Thankfully, I haven’t had to deal with them but if I ever do, I now know how to go about getting rid of them.
