Practical Tips and Storage Ideas for The Bathroom
A few small changes that will unclutter your bath can turn this functional room in your house into an inviting retreat.

Put up shelves for extra storage. You can customize them to fit your needs.
A three-tiered plate rack can be used as a nice holder for soaps, combs, and all other knick knacks.
A bath-side soap holder adds charm to an old fashioned tub, and it will certainly come in handy.
Keep a small basket of single-use soaps on hand for guests.
Give an old china bowl new life as a container for some potpourri.
Even the smallest shelf in the shower area provides convenient storage for bath towels and soaps.
An old dresser or sideboard is a great substitute for a standard vanity. Just cut a hole in the top to accommodate the sink, plus one in the back for the pipes.
Instead of the usual square, wall mounted mirror, bring in an antique. The effect is well worth the small storage space that you’ll lose.
Avoid decorating themes in a small bathroom. They can be overwhelming when space is tight.
Make sure there are no hooks or towel bars protruding into awkward places.
Keep bath items handy and clutter to a minimum by using small baskets. Assign one to each family member.
Hand painted jars are ideal for storing cotton balls, cotton swabs, bobby pins, and much more.
Transfer lotions and oils to pretty, clear bottles.

Thanks for the wonderful tips. I could use some of these for my bathroom especially for the Q-tips, cotton balls…. great ideas. Your images are very nice. As for the shelves, where do you recommend putting them if you already have a closet and the wall has tiles? I really like the different color towels the way they are folded almost like a luxury hotel type of thing. Your bathroom should create a tranquil environment. Great job.

Check out Bel’Angelle’s bra storage solution at http://www.belangelle.com.au
The Bel’Angelle bra storage solution was designed to help take care of beautiful padded, booster, moulded and push-up bras during storage.
The clear box is low enough to fit in most lingerie drawers and the moulded insert allows bras to maintain their intended shape during storage.
A lid secures it altogether so bras don’t catch during opening and closing of drawers.
Up to 6 bras may be housed within one storage solution.
