Oxi Clean Does It Work for You?
Oxi clean says it does so many things and yet it did nothing for a pair of shorts.
Well, it did not work for me!
My son has a white soccer uniform and red dye got on it from a red shirt and so I said, “ok let me go and get some Oxiclean and soak it like in the commercial and it will be all good and clean.”
What a JOKE, do you know you have to let it soak for 1 to 6 hours? That is what the instructions say. So, I let is soak for 24 hours and nothing it did not remove any of the dye.
Now I was getting a bit upset, after all the guy on the commercial says it is going to get it out. So it is false advertising correct? Maybe a Lawyer would know.
So regardless the shorts still have the red dye down the back of them and I was about to give up until I remembered that distilled vinegar does many things so I went and got my list and there it was…. Removing stains VINEGAR removes stains. I am not sure if the Oxiclean ruined this from working all of the way however I poured the vinegar on the red dye and low and behold the dye began to drip down the drain, so I soaked it for about an hour and then rinsed the shorts, not all of the dye is gone, however the majority is gone and it had nothing to do with the Oxiclean.
I use vinegar for everything you will be amazed with everything vinegar can do and trust me it works, I have a house full of it and I use it instead of chemicals.
I have learned my lesson and I will never use Oxiclean again, if I had my receipt I would take it back to the store I purchased it from. I am sure there have been plenty of complaints filed about this product.

Oxyclean works on whites, it just takes a lot more than it says it does. I do my whites by the large washer full using six (yes I said six) scoops of oxyclean. My whites come out whiter, even things that have been off color for a long time. I would not recommend that much for colors, I stick to clorox colors for that task.

I must sat that every commercial I see boast about how great the Oxiclean Triple Stain remover is. Well I am here to say that it really is not as good as what they claim it to be. We bought it just to see if it would actually work and it doesn’t. I have a daughter who is very hard when she plays. She plays just as hard as the boys if not harder. I used the Oxi Clean on her white shorts that were ground with mud and grass and I have to say that they aren’t white and they never will be no matter how much Oxi Clean I use. So if you hear them talk about how great a produst is don’t listen because sometimes they are wrong. They don’t use clothes that are used by real children who play hard!!!
