Tucked in a corner of your home is your bathroom. You tend to neglect it. But the irony is you use it every morning. With these tips, you can lessen the burden of maintaining your bathroom.
Understandably, cleaning your bathroom seems a big task.
Personally, that is one aspect of my weekend I dread. Over the years, implementing the tips below has made it easier.
Before cleaning your bathroom, remove your bath accessories like soap, shampoo, soap dish, and sponge. This will make cleaning easier and faster. Also, stray hairs when accumulated over time clogs your water drain. Remove them before cleaning your bathtub.
Wet your bathtub with detergent solution and allow it to soak for sometime. The detergent does the work. Thus, it is better you give it time to perform its magic.
For stained areas, dilute bleach with water in a spray bottle and then spray the stained areas. Let the solution sit for a few minutes before rinsing off.
If the stains remain, use brush to scrub at them with the same solution. A scrubbing brush with a protruding handle will help you scrub easily. Most cleansers (detergents, bleaches, etc.) are toxic. Inhaling them at close range is dangerous to your health. To minimize their harmful effects, open your bathroom windows for fresh air.
Have a towel for wiping your bathtub after each bath. Moisture is a breeding ground for dampness. To keep your bathtub fresh in between cleanings, it is important to keep it dry. If you have neglected your bathtub for sometime, that is no problem. Just tell yourself it requires more cleanser or a bit more scrubbing.
Liven Up Your Bathroom
Ensure your bathroom is always sweet smelling. Spray air fresheners and place room fresheners in corners of your bathroom. Also, your bathroom should be bright and well ventilated.
Put up framed prints of flowers or birds to brighten the walls. Besides, don’t forget to add a mirror. Do you have a sound system in your bathroom? Experts say that may be dangerous. After bath, you have got all the time to listen to your favorite music.
Make sure all that you need in your bathroom is there; hair dryer, shampoo, soaps, towel, toiletries, etc. Put them in a neat wall cabinet.
Never neglect your bathroom. Ensure your bathroom is always clean, bright, well ventilated and sweet-smelling. Maintaining your bathroom needs not burn a hole in your pocket. The basic rule is: keep it simple and clean. Go out of your way to make your bathroom peace-giving and peaceful.
