Hints to Keep Your House Clean

Here are some helpful hints to make house cleaning easier.
Do you have dull chrome in your house? You can rub it with a piece of aluminum foil which will brighten it and give it a bright shine.
Does your toilet bowl have mineral deposits? They will disappear overnight if you pour several cups of vinegar in the bowl and let it stand overnight. You can brush them away easily in the morning.
Does your toilet bowl have a rusty ring around the bowl? You can take 1/4 cup of peroxide and let it soak in the toilet bowl for 30 minutes. The stubborn ring will disappear without any hard scrubbing. You can also try a denture cleaner tablet and it will make that ring disappear, also.
Does your trash can smell with a foul odor? You can cover the bottom of the can with cat litter to help absorb that offensive odor. This works well for trash cans that sit outside.
You can clean that filmy shower door with a little baking soda on a rag. It dissolves the scum with one easy stroke, and makes expensive shower cleaners obsolete. If you want to keep soap scum from building up, put some furniture wax on the doors. Be careful not to get the polish on the bathtub, as the polish will make it very slippery.
Do you have a septic system? You can take two packets of yeast and pour into a toilet. Flush several times until the yeast is gone. It will help to kill bacteria in the septic system.
