Hint Tip Test 1: Cleaning Windows
An economic and great way to clean windows.
To spring clean this year, I’m trying homemade cleaners. When I decided to take on the book of household tips in order to do this, I decided to keep track of it in a diary, but unfortunately, I’m absolutely horrible at keeping a diary! That was my main reason for starting this blog. I find it much easier to keep up with my projects if I can type it out instead of writing. This way, someone may read something they want to try and in a way, I can pay it forward to save some money for someone else…
Not that glass cleaner is expensive, but the mixture I made was far superior to any glass cleaner I’ve ever used off-brand and name brand alike. The ingredients I used are also not expensive and can be used to make other cleaners, so in the end, I still come out on the plus side.
For Windows
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup ammonia
- 3 quarts of warm water
I put all ingredients in a spray bottle and shook it up. I sprayed it on the window and WALLAH! It worked like a dream! The only problem I had was that with the cornstarch, the spray is milky, and when it dries, it’s crusty. So small sprays on big windows works much better.
