It’s important to prevent fungus for ever growing in your home because it can lead to serious health problems. Infestation is usually quite uncommon thing, but you should remember, that even a small amounts of harmless fungus can trigger allergic reactions or other health related issues. The looks of your house would be the least of your worries then.
In their years of work related experience Soho cleaners have noticed that some small tricks can go a long way in the struggle to prevent fungus growth in your flat, house, office, and so on.
The humidity in the rooms should be below 50 percent. The moisture and dampness is what the mould needs to grow indoors. If you cannot keep the humidity down, you may have to use dehumidifiers. Watering the plants too much can also have a negative effect on the indoors humidity. Keep the soil moist but not soaked.
In kitchen and especially bathrooms you should have exhaust vents and windows open to allow the moisture and humidity do dry as quickly as possible if you don’t want fungus to grow. The steam from the hot water must be carried outside. The same goes for the steam  that is formed when cooking for too long.
Clothes shouldn’t be allowed to dry indoors if they are too moist. But if you have clothes dryer then make sure that it is vented to the outside. If the carpet gets wet it must be dried off within two days to prevent mould from growing. If it isn’t dry by then, the carpet must be taken out to dry outside.
If there is any mould any mildew in your house then Soho cleaners advice you to use this simple cleaning solution of two tablespoons of tea tree oil in two cups of water, poured in a spray bottle. Spray the affected area, let it sit for 30 minutes and wipe clean. This formula will kill bacteria, too.
