Feng Shui and Staircases

Feng Shui is a system based on keen observation and experimentation, combining elements of nature and nutrition. It is the study of the environment, places, people, time, and how the energies of each interact.
Staircases are the pathways to the upper floors. Stair cases should never start directly in front of the main door. Ideally, they should even be out of view of the main door. Not should they end directly in front of an upstairs door. The energy thus created is too strong and becomes harmful.
The steps should always be solid. They should not be too narrow, nor have spaces between them, as this causes the luck to escape.
In an apartment, you should also pay attention to the communal staircases. Your own apartment entrance should not face the staircases.
Curving stair cases are preferable to those that are straight and long and they should be neither too narrow nor steep.
A staircase does not allow smooth flow of energy. It will swirl and activate whatever it is around. Spiral staircase shape resembles that of a corkscrew piercing into the house and this can cause bad Feng Shui.
