All the different ways to use a simple dryer sheet.
How do you use dryer sheets? Let me count the ways…
- Collect pet hair
Before the hair sheds, rub the pet with a dyer sheet. All the lose hairs will stick. - Dusting
Used dryer sheets are great for dusting ceiling fans, tables, or any other surface with dust. They are a lot cheaper than conventional dusters and brands such as Swiffer® . - Prevent musty suitcases
Place a dryer sheet inside an empty suitcase before storing. - Mosquito repellent
Attach a dryer sheet to your belt or clothes when going outdoors. A lot cheaper than the conventional - Clean baked-on food from a cooking pan
Place a used dryer sheet in the pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. - Prevent dust settlement due to static electricity
Wipe areas with static electricity such as monitors and television screens with dryer sheets. This will lessen the amount of dust clinging. - Remove soap scum from showers, tubs, and tiles
Clean with a used dryer sheet. - Air freshener
Place a dryer sheet in the area where air needs to be freshened. (In closet, in a car) - Prevent sewing threads from tangling
Slide a threaded needle through a dryer sheet to eliminate the static on the thread before sewing. - Collect sawdust from drilling or sandpapering
A used dryer sheet will collect sawdust like sticky tape. - Deodorize shoes, boots, and other footwear
Place a dryer sheet in your shoes or sneakers. - Deodorize garbage bins
Place a dryer sheet at the bottom of the garbage bin.. - Deodorize dirty laundry

You can also stuff a paper towel tube with dryer sheets, and exhale through it, to mask the (possibly illegal) smell of smoke. Great for dorm rooms!
