10 Unusual Uses for Butter
Butter is great spread on your toast, but it also has some more unusual uses around the house.

Make Cheese Last Longer
Smear the cut end of cheese with butter before putting it in the fridge, to stop it drying out and to prevent mold.

Boil Pasta
Stop pasta boiling over by adding a knob of butter to the water when boiling.

Massage You Feet.
Use a knob of butter to massage tired feet. This is great and it leaves a great smell too.

Have A Shave
If you run out of shaving cream use a knob of butter on wet skin and get a smooth, close shave. For the ladies, the oil in the butter is a good skin softener too so it’s great for shaving legs.

Remove Gum
Softened butter rubbed into the hair will remove gum.

Cut Sticky Things
Spread a knife very thinly with butter before cutting sticky pies, dates, toffee, etc. It will slide through easily without sticking.

Hand Softener
Use to sooth dry hands. It goes into the skin quickly and gives great results.

Nail Strengthener
Rub butter into the cuticles of your nails to make the nails grow strong and healthy.

Squeak Stopper
If you don’t have any oil, or other lubricant you can stop a door from squeaking by rubbing a little butter on the hinge.

Emergency Ring Remover
Have you ever had a ring stuck on your finger? Remove the ring by gently rubbing a little butter around the finger joint and easing the ring off. You may have to do it a few times until it slides off. (Don’t force it or the finger will swell and it won’t come off at all.)

Thanks for the comment Onflame but I’m a little worried about putting my email address in a comments box. I think it could be quite risky. If you had seen some of the comments I had to ‘remove’ you would know what I mean. I wouldn’t advise anyone to do it.

This is a cool article, someone I know always gets rings stuck on his fingers lol, he forces them on, and ussaly has to cut them off, hopefully this will help him,
