When Life Gives You Lemons

When life gives you lemons, make some invisible ink! You can do so much more then make lemonade.

 A lemon is a Super household item.  If you have a lemon you can  Freshen and moisturize the air in your home by filling a pan with water,add lemon peels, a couple cinnamon sticks and cloves. bring it to a boil and leave it on the stove top so you can simmer the water periodically for a delicious scent in your home.

Do you have trouble getting odor out of the fridge even though you cleaned it? Squeeze some lemon juice on a cotton ball and leave it in the fridge for a few hours.  It will take care of the problem.

You have caked on food in the microwave. No problem. Just mix 3 tablespoons of lemon juice into 1 1/2 cup of water in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 5 to 10 minutes. then just wipe out the inside of the microwave with a damp cloth.

Let the kids have some fun with lemon juice. all you need is lemon juice, q-tips, and white paper. The kids dip their q-tip into the lemon juice and write a message on the paper. when it dries it is invisible. when it’s time to read the message hold the paper up in bright sunlight or to a light bulb. the heat will cause the writing to darken and the message can be read.

Want to get rid of fleas and roaches? Mix the juice of 4 lemons and throw in the rinds with 1/2 gallon of water and mop your floors with it .

How about some blond highlights for your hair?  Mix 1/4 cup of lemon juice with 3/4 cup of water  and rinse your hair with it . Then sit in the sun until you hair dries. You will have highlights worthy of any beauty salon. To maximize the blond effect repeat the process once a day for up to 1 week.

Stop bleeding and disinfect cuts by applying a couple of lemon juice drops to the cut. You can also apply the juice to poison ivy rash to soothe  the itching and alleviate the rash.

Remember when life gives you lemons there are plenty of uses for them.
