Too Many Disinfectants in The Home
Even though swine flu is going around, we don’t need as many disinfectants that some researchers would have you believe.
Lately, with swine flu going around, we are being encouraged to wash our hands more often with antimicrobial soap.and are given the suggestion to use hand sanitizers when we can’t wash our hands. They also say we should use disinfectants in the home. This is not a perfect idea as the group ‘The voices of the earth’ say we need some germs to make our immune system work better. If you lived in a sterilized society, if your body came across some germs, your immune system might fail to work and you’d get very sick.
The group ‘Voices of the Earth’ has released a report that is called “Disinfectant overkill: how too clean can be hazardous to your health”. This paper showed the results of more than 35 peer reviewed studies and scientific studies. This report shows us what all this cleanliness is doing to your body. Besides a weak immune system, you can get asthma and hormonal imbalance.
Disinfectant companies stick to their claim that their products are safe to use, of course, within reason. If a product has harmful vapors or is irritating to the skin, they will tell you on the label. They think that since they warn you, they are safe
Chlorine bleach and ammonia are two ingredients for the study.
You don’t have to keep your house as sterile as a hospial.
By 2012, disinfectants will have 2.5 billon dollars in sales.

It’s always a balancing act. The body is pretty resilent but some times needs a little help.

I scrub everything in soap and clorine, That’s good enough for me. And I have no chemical smells which make me choke.

I just used some kind of spray to scrub down an upstairs wall and about died. I could barely breathe. I will not be doing that again. Soap and water will do just fine.
