Save Water and Electricity at Home
The awareness to save our environment in people is essential and this will make a great difference.
Environment protection is one of my concern. All of us can contribute protect our mother earth.Many efforts can do into our daily life to cut down the rate of global warming. It is our duty to conserve today for tomorrow’s use. We can teach our children how to protect planet and how important it is to safeguard the world. Here I am highlighting to save electricity and water. Saving water and electricity at home can save our environment.
A home is the first place where we can save electricity and minimize wastage of energy. If we look at our daily routine, we can find many small things that we can do to save energy. By saving energy we can help to save the world’s energy resources like gas, oil and water. What we do as individuals may only make a small impact, but if everyone contributes to save energy, the combined effect can make difference.
Use energy efficient light bulbs can use 60% less energy than normal light bulbs. We can save around 300 pounds of carbon dioxide in a year by replacing a single light bulb. Turn of lights when not using them. Do not leave your computer running all day. We should always unplug appliances that are not in use. Don’t leave lights on when no one is in the room. If you have to go out of the room for more than five minutes, turn off the light. Turn off the TV when no one is watching it.
The biggest use of electricity in most cities is supplying water and cleaning it up after it’s been used. Wasting water wastes electricity. About 75 percent of the water we use in our homes is used in the bathroom. Water saving not only cheapens your water bill but helps to reduce water pollution and protects the environment. Don’t leave the water running unnecessary. Check your toilet and sinks for leaks. A leaky toilet can waste more than 10,000 gallons of water a year. We can purchase a more Eco-friendly toilet which uses less water. Don’t run the dishwasher or clothes washer unless you are doing a full load. Take shorter showers. Always turn off the water while brushing your teeth. Save water in the kitchen. Please follow these simple ways into your day to day life to save environment.

nice share. personally, i am strict with electricity usage even though i lived in abundant natural resources country like Indonesia but still i think that we must keep our earth not only for us but for our future generation.
