Pros and Cons: Maid Services Keep Your Home Looking Neat
There are pros and cons to hiring a maid.

Let’s talk about the cons first. First most of the maid primarily problem is being lazy when they work with anyone not more than six months onwards. This figure statistic is based on the average scale of research did by certain Manpower and Foreign Worker Division to survey the ongoing problem that most people who hire maids complaint.
Second, the average wagers which is the following; Indonesia – RM 500.00, Philippines – USD400.00, Cambodia – RM 600.00, Vietnam – RM 900.00. It’s clear that the wager is quite high in comparison than last couple years ago.
Third is that whenever hiring maid, we’ll automatically dependent on the maid because most of the house chores is done by them but the down fall is when we’re too dependent, will tend to forget what if can’t afford to hire the maid or economy having recession.
Fourth is the maid’s attitude. The reason of the attitude change is because of the perception that most of the people that hire maids are financially stable due to the fact that hiring a maid based on current market value is quite high. Once the maid is too comfortable, they will feel themselves like the owner because back home, they living condition is quite poor as compared to Malaysia.
Next is greed. The reason of this is because cash is king and money is the new religion. Quite frankly, if anyone were to found any amount of money, would definitely keep it because this is the average human attitude. Another thing is that whenever hiring maid, we will automatically become dependent on the maid because most of the house chores is done by them but the down fall is when we are too dependent, will tend to forget what if can’t afford to hire the maid or economy having recession.
After that, it might have bad influence on the children is side. Those children use to have maid, don’t need to do any household work, and view maid is an essential part of their life already. Want to eat, tell maid to cook, no cloth to wear, call maid to wash or iron and so on. The goal is to train the children to live independently. Doing household chore is part of the training. Furthermore, these little lovely creatures might take some ‘bad’ teaching from maid as she might be the closer friend than the parents.

Children today are already lazy and have feelings of entitlement. There is very little to no responsibility heaped on them at home. Maids are another way to ruin our children.

It depends, sometimes if the mother is a working, help is needed to keep the house going. Let the children do their responsibility even the maid is around. Great read.

The primary educators are the parents, a problem accentuated since both parents work.

My family thinks I am the maid! I have tried to get the kids to help out more but for some reason my husband has been slacking off so they are probably following his pattern of behaviour. If I had a lot of money (I have none right now!) I would hire a housekeeper to clean house, cook meals and wash dishes. That’s it. We don’t eat properly so someone to cook meals would be my number one priority. Of course if I had a lot of money i would have a dishwasher and wouldn’t have to wash the dang things myself!

My family only has one maid…ME!!!

I’m with Joni. I worked outside the home, and raised 6 boys. Maid, HA!! The boys learned to do their own laundry as they got older, they each took out the trash, did the dishes, and helped clean the house. I hope they make some lucky woman a good husband one of these days!!

After traveling and staying at hotels for months, I decided that once I settled down and bought a house that I would get an affordable maid service. I can’t afford daily or weekly service but once or twice a month helps me tremendously
