My Hanging Pot Rack

Creative Solutions..How to Make the Most of Your Home & Apartment Space.

When I look at different materials laying around, I visualize it as something other than what it is for originally. I find incredible items in and around dumpsters and neighborhood garbage. Don’t scrunch your face and say ewwww, like an old lamp stand as a plant hanger, or a large old glass light cover as a planter for your table…you see?
I found this lovely piece of tree with years of weathering in the woods. I sanded down all the unsightly rough spots, then used vegetable oil to bring out the grain and make it more lustrous (this is optional according to taste) I have placed it over my stove and the moisture from cooking seems to have enhanced the patina of the piece. I then measured equal inched spaces to attach my hooks for the amount of pieces I wanted to hang from it. I mounted the curved brackets (wall hooks) wall to wall in the corner, and set the rack. You could hang this from the ceiling, or lay the wall hooks flat against the wall according to space and design preference.
To give you other ideas to start you off this could also be used for any space saving piece. Maybe a utensil rack, (with more hooks) a coat rack in the hall, a towel rack in the bath, maybe large wind chimes for a decorative accent on your deck, a welcome sign holder by your front door, or as a plant hanger, hanging plants at different levels
Just let your imagination run on the wild side! I hope you enjoyed this article and will return again as I have many more ideas.
