I had a chance this weekend to see just how powerful peroxide really is.
I had an unusually large boil on a part of my body, which I rather not discuss. Most boils that grow this large, such as the one that I encountered, would normally have to be lanced and you would have a brief stay in the hospital. Tired of giving n the doctors here in North Carolina my hard earned money and getting shameful results. I decided to explore and theory that I had. These boils are extremely painful and have to be brought to a head.Where ever this obstruction is situated, I can assure you isn’t very unpleasant. So this weekend I tried two different types of things to bring this baby to a head. I took a hot sits-bath in epsom salt for 30 minutes and then, I took a cotton ball saturated it with hydrogen peroxide and laid it on the abscess. This morning when I woke up; pus was oozing out or the abscess and there was a reduction in the size, (”I just saved myself hundreds of dollars”). I only spent about $4.00 for the cure.
When I was younger I use to get these abscesses in my mouth, my grandmother would have me take a swig of hydrogen peroxide and told me to just let it sit on abscess, she also instructed me not to swallow. In doing this the peroxide will foam up and began to remove all the poisons and toxins out of the abscess. The next morning when I woke up, the pain had subsides and the abscess was gone.
An bscess which is a collection of pus that can accumulate in a cavity formed by the tissue on the basis of an infection.
The Thesaurus definition of peroxide is:
A viscous liquid with strong oxidizxing properties; a powerful bleaching agent; also used (in aqueous solutions) as a mild disinfectant and (in strong concentrations) as an oxidant in rocket fuels.
Hydrogen peroxide is a good first aid antiseptic.
I recently read an advertisement for hydrogen peroxide mouthwash. It states that the mouthwash has the ability to convert sulfides into sulfates. You can actually feel the oxygen-releasing molecules, it makes you mouth come alive.
I just relived that I remembered that my grandmother had me use peroxide on my abscess, and was willing to see if it would have the same effect on my boil. Grandmother’s wisdom saves the day once again.
