Simple safety tips to follow if you have small children in the home.
The greatest number of accidents in the home occur in the kitchen and on stairs. However, most of these accidents in the home are caused by carelessness and fire.

From time to time it is a good idea to do a periodic check of your home by inspecting your wiring, gas and electrical equipment. I have listed a few helpful hints that you should consider doing some time in the near future.
It is very easy for children to slip and fall in the kitchen and you need to make certain all grease, soap or slippery substance has been removed from your floor. If you have tile floors in your kitchen it is even more dangerous when a child falls . Don’t use rugs in your kitchen unless you have them firmly secured so that small children will not go sailing across the floor.

Keep matches and sharp knives out of the way of children. Pay close attention to cleaning supplies you may have stored under your kitchen sink. These chemicals are very toxic and will make your child very ill. In order to eliminate a fatal accident I would strongly suggest putting locks on all kitchen cabinets.

If you have stairs in your home then you might want to purchase a small gate to keep your child from climbing the stairs when you aren’t looking.
Swimming pools can be another hazard for small children. Therefore, I would suggest keeping all doors locked at all times.
Keep all medicine out of the reach of children and keep a first aid kit available for emergency use. Make certain you replenish your first aid kit and that you have stocked it with the proper medical supplies.
