Ever thought of picking up beautiful blown glass vases to increase upon your home décor? Our city is famous for its glass blowing and has a museum dedicated to the art of glass making covering the history of glass over the ages. The best feature of the museum is being able to watch people working on blowing glass and producing some amazing pieces! It is a treat to take children to the museum and having them witness as they make some blown glass vases. It is quite intriguing to watch how quickly one can be made as glass is blown up to form exquisite blown glass vases.  

It is quite a surprise when you see a small blob of colorless glass blown up into beautiful blown glass vases and that too without it being a long process. When we had visited it took about 20 minutes in all! The process began with super heating the glass and then blowing it out into a simple shape. A number of tools were then used to spin and shape the creation of a vase. It is a very interesting process to watch and you can appreciate the years and years that must have gone into practicing the art of doing it right with every blob of glass and knowing what they are doing! 

A stick of glass juts out from the bottom in the process. This is used to spin and shape the vase into the desired shape. Once the top of the vase is shaped, heat is used to remove this stick which is then shaped flat as the base of the vase on a flat surface. 

It is highly recommended to never let go of the chance to see blown glass vases being made or for that matter any glass art. Though it can be very hot in the area where glass is being made but the effort will be worth it in the visual delight. You do not have to make your own glass vase to enjoy beautiful blown glass vases nor do you have to go to a glass maker if you’d like one for your home. If you ever go to such a place where you can witness the process, they will usually make one with your unique specifications. Other than being able to witness such an amazing process, you will also be the owner of blown glass vases that nobody else in the world has!
